With a new Advance Wars, the new Zelda, and Metroid Prime 2, Nintendo might be able to reclaim the No. 2 spot. The Nintendo DS looks much more portable than the PSP, which looked like it was larger than the length of my forearm, and portability certainly does matter with a portable.

Anyway, I guess it boils down to a matter of opinions when people start to talk about 'great' games. Obviously, I should never have posted in this thread. We could talk until we're blue in the face and not change each other's minds... I don't really like most of the Zelda games, and you don't like most FPS... I say we leave it at that.

Define Irony: FPS fan ridiculing any other game for being redundant.

Just for the record: I'm an RPG fanboy. I'm just interested in the new XBOX FPS's. Want to talk about how un-redundant Dungeons & Dragons is?

Doubtful. In fact, highly unlikely. But this Zelda development does make me glad I've got a GameCube on happy .

Sega does have that "big" announcement they're going to reveal either tomorrow or the day after. I think they still lack the money for a new console. Instead, I heard a very unlikely yet very hopeful rumor that Sega might merge with one of the companies for the nextgen... no prizes for guessing who I hope it will be...

Tell me something I don't know.

Obviously any series of games end up being similar, it wouldn't be a series if they didn't. The Zelda series, above most others, manages to stay fresh. Whether it is graphics or gameplay almost every major console game is different than the last and is well worth playing.

Hey, you forgot all the odd ones. I never played Adventure of Link, but everyone says it's the "black sheep" of the Zelda series. Link's Awakening is different, no Ganon, no Zelda, no Triforce, no Hyrule, just Link stranded on a crazy island with crazy people and crazy items (he can JUMP!). The the Oracle Series were also a little different, Ganon doesn't appear until the very end if you link up both games.

Of course you should have posted in this thread. I like hearing other people opinions and arguing about them, however pointlessly. People at GameFAQs won't listen, no matter what, so I like to argue pointlessly over here.

I agree. The Matrix games suck, IMHO.

So did Reloaded and Revolutions... Stupid Wachowski brothers turning their A-movie (The Matrix) into a B-series and cashing in on 'Matrix Mania'... God I hate everything that has to do with them, even the crappy Matrix games. They ruined something grand...

The DS does definitely look better than the PSP. Smaller, easier to port around, etc... But why is Nintendo realeasing another handheld so early? The Advance SP was only, what, a year ago? On the other hand, I don't even know why Sony is going in on the handheld business... That's one flop I'll avoid. Even I will admit that no one can beat 'tendo on the handheld end of things. You just can't... That's why the NeoGeo and the GameGear were flops...

The PSP is bigger in size than the DS? Somehow I was under the impression that it was the other way around... although it does explain the extra price tag on the PSP (PSP is estimated at $250 while DS at $150, I *think*), and the shorter battery life (anywhere between 2.5-10 hours the Sony CEO said, I'm not kidding).

The DS looks revolutionary with a bunch of ports. The PSP looks typical with a bunch of ports. So far, I think the DS is beating the snot out of the PSP, although it still is too early to tell.

Okay... I have some advice for you guys: Never assume. It makes an ass out of you and me.

I was told the PSP was bigger than the DS, and since the 'tendo handhelds have been getting smaller I assumed that the PSP was much bigger... I guess not...



However, I still think 'tendo will win the handheld war. You can't beat them there. It's not possible. The DS will own the PSP. Mark my words.

PS: Yes. Sexy indeed. I still don't think I'll get one... but who knows..
