earth map help

boy, its a long time since i posted here... i gave up on civ 3, but decided to have a go with Conquests and i've gotta say its a huge improvement.

anyway, quick question:

i notice earth maps are provided, but yet again (this is v. frustrating) there's no starting on earth map in correct locations (these are my fave games). can someone tell me how to set this up (presume via the editor?)

please keep it real simple, i aint no programmer!!

I'll try. And don't worry I sure NOT computer programmer .

Go to edit with this map.
In uper left corner you have "scenario" button, click it. Than put player default ON. Then go to "player properities" on wright side near "scenario properities". Select how many players you want to play with. Example :16. Then assigne first one. Usually thats human player (you). Than assigned all others nations. Then go to map and right click on every "player starting location and go with reassigned and than click on nation you think should suppose to be on that place. Do it for all player start location or even add a new if you think is necessery. THATS IT.

Sorry for spel. and I hope it work for you this way. Maybe there is an easier warriant but this is how I did it an it's fine to me.

Benjy, also check out the User-Created Maps section. There are heaps of world maps there, most have the civs starting in the right spot.
