that I have witnessed in that playthrough where japan's landships broke 1upt rule to steal a city right out of my forces.

I have cooled down enough to share rest of the screenshots of various other crazy things I have seen. They're amusing I guess xD

After when I met Austria, she found Genoa then complained that it's in their sphere of influence.. even when it's across the ocean and right next to my 2nd city. XD

And I discovered a battlesite of Byzantines versus Zanzibars...

Yeah that's right, that's where zanzibar is and look at minimap for the byzantines XD And I was Allied to the zanzibar like since Classical Era. There never was any war between zanzibar and me, otherwise I would've been at war against byzantines too.

I dow'd Gandhi and stayed in cold war until Gandhi poked me and said he will give me Mumbai if I will call the war off. I was nowhere near India, my forces was busy killing Ethiopia for being foolish enough to go Freedom while my buddies and me went autocracy. SO I'm guessing India's military adivsor looked at my soldier numbers and told gandhi to give up even when Im no where near him at all.
So I was like sure I'll accept ur city and help my autocracy buddies out

Oh looks like India rather give the city to me than lose it to Brazil who also went autocracy XD

And in this playthrough.. I have quite a few destroyers with Logistics promotion.... To be honest I never had a destroyer live that long before o.o Let alone a few of them! Don't think it's worth of sharing though unless u guys want to see it.

This was unexpected event.... Celts and Songhai been at war for centuries. Then I sent an archeologist to hit that hidden antiquity site.. Oh El Ol there's another battle on that hill in desert again! Indiana jones ended up watching Songhai riflemen unit defeat a couple of celtic ww1 infantry and after both of them got vanquished I moved and looted the ancient site xD But I did have fun imaging songhai riflemen taking up positions on old ruin on top of hill againt ww1 infatry and going pew pew.

Austria/Morocco I know both of them really want to switch to Freedom but they went Autocracy because they had no choice in that matter, their tourism got overwhelmed by autocratic civs xD I got this warning from them after I wiped out the Celts, at that point I have wiped out the Greeks, Ethopia, and got lots of panzers strolling into Indian Borders.
Greeks - Autocracy.
Ethopia/India - Freedom.
Celts - Order.

Then you see this Moroccon/Austrian fleet around this Barbarian Encampment?

I know the screenshot doesn't show the city but After I cleared out that barbarian Encampment and set a city there, both fleets stayed there for some reason. Presumably trying to find an opportunity to back stab me >_> or the AI for those two fleets broke.

And this is another crazy discovery from antiquity sites..

Except for the fact Austria and Maya never fought a war XD But there was an Ancient Ruin on that hex.. XD

You see that one minus that Songhai is sporting? Yeah that's right, I used to be a horrible horrible horrible person in classical/medieval era. I bullied so many city states for Tributes. Songhai used to have like 3 or 4 red texts and that tribute demand used to be bright red. I decided to use this picture to show that Diplomacy works in BNW XD Songhai's still sore over the city states cuz I extracted so much tribute. That's understandable to be honest. That liberation ? Eh it just happened cuz celts took their border+ capital city and I didn't want to keep them so i uh liberated xD

Gandhi is wee bit nukehappy. Cuz You see Varansai, I got it in another ceasefire from India, Him giving me Varansai bought him more time and shielded him from brazil for time being. But after awhile I got itchy cuz I wanted to go back to war with India so I can get more boosts to my Cult of Personality again coz I was going for a cultural victory. I only had three units in Varansai, two bazookas and one panzer that i airlifted there.

Thus.

Gandhi went berserk and sent his whole army to Varansai and wiped out my three unit garrison there and proceeded to drop the atomic bomb on it. Know what that Atomic bomb did? It basically wiped out all of Indian's last offensive forces and I got to keep Varansai because of atomic bomb. Yes, Gandhi nuked his own soldiers. i would've lost varansai if he didn't nuke it.
And here, Morocco calls me the uncivilized brute XD Pfft.

AI seems to be reasonably smart. I was massing forces to attack the Frenchy Commies not Japan. But Japan still moved up their forces even when I'm SUPER BUDDIES with him xD That's good move to be honest. I'm surprised.

Another Crazy Antiquity Site xD

Although I dunno about that one antiquity site to be honest lol, I didn't meet Valletta until like renaissance or industrial.

Then this city state Colombo.... It's allied to me but it refuses to let my Ironclad through into that inland sea I considered declaring war on Colombo! I don't even know why I'm not allowed through at all.

I think Japan have too much Faith in his Bushido ability.
You see that single japanese Privateer surrounded by spanish frigates? And now those other two japanese privateer at half hp and near death? Yeah they tried to rescue the trapped privateer. All three Japanese ships got trounced by Spaniard ships.

Imaginary battles yielding actual relics. Maybe they had a pissing contest and throughout the ages was romanticized heavily. Now everyone thinks there was some legendary, history changing battle between the Austrian and Mayan Empires which saw the razing of an ancient Mayan city.

I didn't click through all the spoilers, but in one game I made an effort to play a completely peaceful game the entire time, only to find an archaeological dig that uncovered a battlefield from an imaginary war between me and my neighbor Japan. Very strange.

I won the game, I refused the diplo victory and went for cultural instead, I had to squash the French so shorten the culture victory by 60 turns, and my culture went one level beyond influential to dominant on almost every civ.

Survivors by end of game is Me, Incas, Maya, songhai, brazil, japan, spain, russia, aztecs, korea, assyrians, byzantines, china, morocco, and austria plus various city states. Every single civ that survived is autocracies. If you weren't autocracy, you get hit by the autocracy train until you get wiped out. o.o Although this didn't work very well for greece, they went autocracy but got wiped out by me and japan.... Dang greeks hogging the city states so he had to go and I basically took control of ex-greece city states

I believe Hidden Antiquity Sites are given randomzied elements, because it would be unfair to get a Hidden Antiquity Site with something that actually happened.

The same exists for later-game starts (which, I believe Includes Industrial Eras) because of the fact that there's no way to create enough Sites in time before Archeology kicks in, which is why you see a Byzantine unit killing a Zanzibar one.
