ok i am sure this has sbeen mentioned but i thought id throw it out anyways...

all of us have spend time making maps of some sorts, and its no doubt that civ 4 will ahve ubber better grafix and more terrarian options like dessert hills, galciers, dead lands, etc. but my main concern is incorporating those maps we love so much from civ 2 and three into civ 4 without spending all that back breaking labor re making them!!!

i recently ran into the bmp to biq converter, great thing! its helped my make a great europe map of 256 to 256 of europe east asia arabia and northern central africa, well wouldnt it be nice if we could have one of those in teh came, but it can convert bmps and j pegs to a color scale and then to actual maps like the bmp converter does, but without all that trouble of coloring it first.

id liek to find a phsycial map of greece in a book, or on the web, and get the pic on my computer, and then after ommiting the words, have the editor option of loading it up where it could convert the terrerian to the editors terrerian my meshing color organizors...

anyways, just an idea

also if we move maps from civ 2 3 to civ 4, it should already be able to do it, and when doing so give it the civ 4 look with more options....:goodjob:
