Elemental: Reforged

Here are screenshots about the working impressive ingame manual (option ask Brad) and the map settings for 10 -20 players:

The graphics of the units change with the details attached to them. Per example her you can see one of my heroes, Lord Relias, with his furnace staff and his luck cap (and some other details attached) and Lord Relias with his Fire shortbow and without the luck cap:

Even "normal" units can receive those weapons, armor and other staff - and change their appearance in the game, according to the attached items. Here is a "normal" militia unit with an added "rusty sword" and a primitive armor:

Another quest (difficulty "deadly"):

I've been excited for this since I learned about this from the Ara: History Untold Discord, and bought it on release. It is mostly based on Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes as far as I can tell, and that is a very, very good thing. I love that game, and always come back to it. To get a remaster with a shinier engine and some additional content was not something I had expected, but it is pretty much the best gaming news I had gotten all year.

I never really liked the visual style of the game, but it does look nicer in the new engine, and the gameplay is terrific. Whereas something like Age of Wonders is heavily focused on combat, Elemental manages to strike what is for me the perfect balance between its civ-like elements, combat and questing. It has some rough edges, but as far as I am concerned, it is a real gem of a game. Researching stuff, designing your own units, and putting them to use in epic battles...it is deeply enjoyable. I hope this new version gets the attention it deserves, and that it will stimulate the development of more content. :-)

I agree. :yup: I consider it as my best buy of a video game this year. Even in the early access version until now I only had one crash in a quest.

I like it a lot. Even my big Civ 3 modding project had to rest this week cause of this great game ! :)
