Elven Industrial/Modern Ranged unit pack

Hmm... can like, you me a small favor? For the next units of these you make, could you not use those little black shoes? The sniper's shoes are fine, I just can't imagine having my infantry running around in those other shoes, :crazyeye:.

Of course... I was trying to get the general flavor of the eras in which these units are supposed to go.. If you look at the musketeer, you'll see that if I changed her skirt for knee-pants, she would be essentially the female equivalent of the Musketeer (Men acually wore shoes like that back in the 16th and 17th centuries). The uniform of the Sharpshooter is based on the French Zuove unifoms of the mid-late 1800s, the only differences being that what I have colored gold would be red on a Zuove uniform, and instead of the bonnet, they'd wear a Fez....

The infantry has a sort of WW1 flavor, and is wearing a grey helmet of the same design as the musketeer (sort of how they essentially brought back the Pikeman's pot for WW1), a double-breasted frock coat (sort of like some factions wore in WW1), brown trousers and leather trench boots. I'm debating on whether I should stick a bayonet on the end of her rifle or not....

I do have some knife/dagger props that I could use.... I'll post a preview in my preview thread later tonight, after I get back home after class...

let me tell you, working 8 hrs a day and going to school in the evening really puts a crimp in one's unit making time....

BTW, did you get the flics I made from your Storyboards?

I attached them to your original "Maybe a little help?" thread....

Thanks for the support, Beboy! I'm seriously thinking of making an alternate version of the Sniper with gray pants (so that there's less civ color) and cap, and maybe gold-blonce hair instead of white....

Also, once I make the marine, I'll try to figure out how Paratrooper units are done, change a few textures and props, and make an Elvaan paratrooper, and Jump-trooper (basically an elf in power armor w/jetpacks).

Okay, Elvaan Infantry is done, completing the Defensive gunpowder unit lineup...

Next is the Marine... I'll be releasing the Paratrooper, Jump Trooper, and (possibly) Guerilla in a separate unit pack at a later date.

Possibly, but, again, that will be a future project... After I get the Elvaan Marine done, my next project will be a line of killer robots, followed by finally finishing up my Ork Gargant, then making a line of Viera (Bunny girl) ranged units (like the Mithra one, only with bunny ears instead of cat ears, and no tail), followed by some other units I need to make for the FF mod.

In between all of this, I've got 1 new LH to make, and a few others that I really need to re-do (Squall, Fiona, and Marche).

Well, I tried to get some pics of the FF X Machina monsters, but all I could find was this low-quality pic of the Mech Gunner (Ind Era flavor unit for the Al Bhed):

Got the Marine done... All I have left is to do an alternate version of the sniper (one with less civ coloring and better overall coloration), and I'll be done with this pack.

BTW, the normal attack sequence is Single shot, SIngle shot, 3 round burst.... The "Spray and Pray" animation is the Defend animation, which, I believe, makes this the FIRST unit to make use of the recent discovery that the Defend slot in the INI works. :smug:

Well, the defend has about a 1 in 20 chance of activating when the unit is fortified and has lost at least 1 HP... When the defend animation is played, the defending unit will ALWAYS win that particular round.....

At least according to Finn MC Cool and SpacerOne's research.
