Inherited turn:
Why in the WORLD is Newcastle not next to the fresh water??? This is the sort of mistake you can't make if you want to win above Regent, folks.
Why is London building a barracks? It should be producing settlers or military; it can't do both. Switch to settler.
We need some galleys to find the missing civ. I pick Oz to build one.
Why in the world is Hastings building walls? We're at war with who now? Also swapped to galley.
Canterbury can't grow above size 2 until it builds a harbor. Can't possibly get that fast enough.
Why are we researching at minimum science? What else can we do with our gold? Switch to Code of Laws at 100%, due in 15. We want to get to Republic someday soon.
At end of that turn, the report says England is the Largest Nation in the World. Good. The civ we haven't met is the French.
Several turns later, Germany has contact with the French! We don't need to buy it for 100 gold, but we do trade our world map for Germany's. France is -- get this -- on the same continent as all of us, south of Germany, in some hideous tundra.
Recommendations: Settle the far-south settler where he's standing. There's also a settler at London unmoved on this turn. Not sure what to do with him; you could load him onto the boat and found a city on the peninsula north of Germany. I think we're done cranking settlers. I think it's time to let London grow, and maybe build a wonder; I set it to Pyramids, but that can be changed.
