Yes, they would have been a better bet but again I think Saturn had hopped into bed with SANCTA, once Kaz were cheated for Fued / Alpha there was no doubt we would not work with Saturn.

No, we didn't meet SANCTA until quite a while after you met us. And the post I quoted earlier considering adding us to your alliance was about two months before the whole Feud thing with Kaz happened. If we'd been in your alliance, there's no way we would have denied you that tech, because we wouldn't have SANCTA to betray by giving it to you.

I guess you can summarize our thinking like this: We wanted an alliance of three that could outperform an alliance of two, but we wanted to be able to outperform our alliance partners once the two were defeated. MS fit the first part well enough, and the second part better than Saturn.

Really? Saturn had the crappiest land, and was in last place for pretty much the entire game as I recall. How were we not weaker than MS?
