Emperor Cookbooks. Toku (Japan)

Nope, I didn't play to completion. It's sitting there so maybe when I have time (read: highly unlikely). I have enough trouble dragging myself to finish GOTMs. The fun for me is in getting the game to a clearly winnable position, after that it's a bit grindy. In GOTMs (or Gauntlets) there is at least the added incentive to try to maximise score / finish fastest. I doubt that I'll learn much from playing this game out to completion, and I'm not the best warmonger so it's unlikely that anyone else would get much out of reading my account. (but I have learnt than Samurai rock!).

The interesting thing is you add 7-8 first strikes and the odds you see on screen never seem to reflect that fact. The downside is knights are imune to first strike.

I think most of my wars were riflemen. I barely used any catapult. Although I did draft my cities down to size.

The next cookbook will be more challenging. Wont have time to set it up till Fri/sat!
