Hello everyone I like the fact that there are so many maps and mods for civ 3 but ive been playing empire earth lately too I was just courious if any else here does either cause I am trying to find like a world map or maps in general for empire earth but all my searches came up with noten. Any links or such would be greatly appriciated .

Thanks for your time and help!!!

I have empire earth too, but never really took the time to look for extra maps. always did random.

I had Empire Earth for a while but I got too overwhelmed with all the units. I was too impatient to really get into the depth of the game because I had been busy with Civ3 and Age of Empires 2 so I uninstalled it.

BTW this belongs in the "All Other Games" Forum. ;)

the all other games forum isnt really that active... what, is this thread still here? :jump:

I haven't looked for mods either.. but i am glad i took the time to learn the game... tons o' fun.... unfortunetly, most of my other gaming friends play Warcraft 3. ..

Got bored with Civ III, started playing Empire Earth. I'm really enjoying the different age aspects (I always thought AOE and AOK was too "shallow") and unit advances. The aircraft ROCK in Empire Earth! (So do the naval units!)

I hear Rise of Nations is supposed to be a cross between Empire Earth and Civ III - if that's the case its the perfect prodigy!

Not active? Not like OT, that's true. But then that is too active for some. :)

I installed EE but never really got a chance to sit down and play. Been to interested in M:TW!

World Maps? World map #1 This one is ok. . . But the guy went waaay overboard in resources, especially because they practically never disappear, I would recommend modding it yourself.
Semi-World map#2 This one requires modding to play, but the mountains are awesome, you have to place resources, and forest, but it’s a good ‘shell’ map.

I own Empire Earth. It's okay I guess. I like Civ 3 better because it costs less and you can change the enttre course of history. Yeah!

Empire Earth is awesome! I love the sound and the aircraft. It's cool because you can build many more units than in Starcraft (limit 200 control). Building tons of walls and towers and aa guns is a lot of fun, but I hate it when one lucky bomber gets through and drops a nuclear bomb on a cluster of aa guns that I have set up. Those subs that shoot missiles inland are way cool too.

Empire Earth is OK. The Campaign levels were hard and jumbled. Plus it plays like any old AOE game. I get crushed in multiplayer and you have your share of good and bad custom maps. For me it was just a bit too wide open.

My thoughts exactly.

Ig ot to the third level on the English Campaign and the second level on the German Campaign.

The game's plays pretty well, but when you zoom, you can see all the texture seams and other graphic flaws. The game progresses too quickly. Every hour or so, you gotta "kill off" your obsolete units so you have room to build your new ones. You can't really enjoy your newly build cataphract army because as soon as you built it, you're already at the next age.

How do you build a nuke?

I usually focus on one or two ages in particular What ever im in the mood for, and while the graphics are annoying, its still a good game. I would say its more wide open to, but I don’t understand why that’s a bad thing. Besides there are millions of pluses over games like AoK, the resource gathering system is much easier and more balanced. Which add a lot more to controlling territory, where as in AoE, by the time you go to stop the enemy from getting gold, the gold is gone. Lots of little things like, if you select four barracks, and build a unit, then ALL the barracks build the same unit, as opposed to going and clicking on each one separately. The 'teams' and 'grouping' is also easier. In many ways its better than AoK, just not as glossed over, and its presence is apparent in AoM, where many of the things I mentioned are included.

You build B-29's and the like to get Nukes.
