Okay, here's an interesting glitch I can't seem to find any answer for elsewhere in the forums:

I am running Windows 7, but I am running (and have installed) with the proper elevated administrator privileges.

I am updated to BTS 3.19

I can run the RFC scenarios included with the original discs with no problem.
I can run my FFH II installed mod with no problem.

So, then I installed the RFCEurope mod, and the game loads just fine. Whether I load it from the publicmaps map or go through the in-game menus (i.e. "Load the RFC Europe mod" then "load the RFCEurope scenario"), I get the screen where I can choose the civ I want to play/gamespeed/etc., then it loads the map and.....

I get a blank box to click "okay", which then cycles through the end game screens (letting me know I have a score of 0) and then a final End of History box to click "return to main menu".

In essence it appears the game is running, but it's not loading the other civs and beginning the auto play.....

any suggestions?

1. Did you patched to 3.19 with the ingame updater or manually? It should be done manually.
2. Did you instal the Mod in the right directory? It should be in C/Program Files/Civ4/BTS/Mods

If you have done these steps, it should working. Otherwise I don't have any idea.

Yes, I installed it manually.

For Windows 7, it saved it in C:/Users/"Name"/AppData/Roaming/FiraxisGames/Civ4/BTS/Mods

I was concerned that Win7 is creating a problem in that it doesn't install Civ4 like Windows XP did (for lots of technical reasons I don't fully understand). But the other mods I've installed don't seem to have this problem, though none of them use the auto-play feature like RFC does....

it needs to be in Program files inside the actual BtS folder

I'm sorry, I don't exactly know what you mean by this advice? Are you suggesting I need to uninstall and reinstall all of Civ4 in the C:\Program Files folder? EDIT: Just to clarify, it is not saved under the "My Games\...\Mods" folder, it's just that when I installed Civ4, I let it choose the folder/path to save it under, and it didn't save it in "Program Files" it saved it all using the path I listed in my earlier post.

So, if I load the RFCEurope mod from the main menu, I can play the "Europe" scenario which gives me access to all the civilizations/units/map/etc., and gameplay works just fine. So the game mechanics are there, just not the RFC scripting...it just isn't loading right. Is there anyway I can alter the script?

FWIW: I have this mod now loaded on my computer at home (with Windows 7) and I have no problems :mischief: Everything was loaded exactly the same....
