Well, didn't know now England start w|o army, but with single lancer i was able capture Jerusalem (while moving to ME i was able beat some barbarians, and captured 2 city (gave them back to Byzantine) - so it was quite strong and with Medic promotion). Waited for Arabia collapsed - and here we are (if no - wait for reinforcements). Coz London was building more and more lancer to help King Richard liberate Holy land. Now only need stay pleased with Mongolia and build army for Egypt (Epic/Monarch)
Also, as usual i switch to despotism, citizenship and Redistribution at start to quick buildup London (mostly happiness building), then back to Monarchy for happiness from troops
On screenshot i lost almost all lancers from taking barb Damask, i hope Mongolia will not DOW to me))
EDIT. I'm was close to lose renaissance tech race - to RHE and Poland (i was first at 1 turn before Poland with Sociology).
Thanks to new update - bubble came back. I used 2GM and 1GS for it to catch up in some tech.
