in another tread there is a small discusion of england as a total war game if they came up with this game whould you like it?

Spoiler :
but the problem is with england is that empire was so huge and at different times (longbows-recaots)you will need different scenarios they can bedone in order or done at random.
1-unification of england
2-battle of hastings
3-anglo-frenchwars
4-spanish armada

5-colonies of americas
6-colonies of africa
7-colonies of the south east(austrailia etc)
8-india colonizeation
9-war of independance

the first you need to do is to unite england then protect it from invasion through the ages
each war(invasion) will last a number of turns you must keep cities under your control for X turns or capture them back before the turns run out or english invasions(colonization) you capture set cities and more before turn run out. This means the map will not always have the british ilse's but a foothold.

No. I think this would make people think that CA is too ethno-centric. Also, why only England: Total War? Why not France: Total War or China: Total War?

Well, there's already Japan-focused Total War. And in Britain: Total War you could of course play other nations than Britain, like France and Spain.

I like the idea.

I just think it'd be too small of an area. Look at RTW and MTW, all of Europe, part of the Middle East (all the way to India in EB & RTR iirc).

Unless you include North America, west to the Mississippi, north into Canada and South all the way Brazil (could also have Morocco and West Saharan Africa).

Then comes the question of factions. In the early going with England, are you going to have all the factions (similar to those in Rood and Dragon), including Vikings? Then how about all the hundreds of Native American tribes (check here to see what I mean, scroll down a bit).

Interesting idea, but I believe there to be too many cons than pros. If it could be balanced out somehow, it would be good.

Scenarios would be cool. War of the Roses? The reformation?

Viking Invasion dealt with Britain already, and I think there's a new Britain-related campaign in the new Medieval II expansion.

England? Who the **** cares about england? just let that island sunk and be forgotten :P Now Portugal: Total War that as a certain sound to it.

Ao menos parava-se de falar a língua dos bifes nestes sites da tanga.

I wouldn't object to a Britain Total War, in which I would lead the Welsh to their domination of Britain, but England: Total War?

England never had a global empire - that was the British.

Mate. England is the best country in the world.

Where are you from? Portugal? That doesn't really influence the world or anything does it?

England does. Plus, Britain has the best army in the world.

Don't take Rick seriously. And if we are discussing about Portuguese influence to the world, go to History-forum.

A Britain:Total War, set during the Dark Ages and into the Medieval period, could be a pretty good game. Multitude of different factions which aren't so much trying to unify Britain, but the separate countries within Britain. Then a good old classic war between them.

I want a new rome total war that goes all the way to china so i can fight Han empire in china. It would be fun fighting han with their crossbows and horsearcher armies with my legions.

I'd agree wholeheartedly with that idea! I'd love having two enormous Empires clash across Asia, with smaller factions like the Parthians and Kushans stuck in the middle...
Personally though, I'd love to see a remake of Shogun. You could include Korea, Mongolia and China on the map too.
