Say, I know this isn't very nice, but I seriously think the voodoo doll will be a nice edition in this game. It doesn't even have to be strong or anything just a random freak-out posseesed doll running from the zombies...
you all know which unit I am talking about right?

Here's one scenario....We are know Japan have a huge amount of tales on possessed ghost and ghouls right? so what don't we make it in Mr.Tokugawa's house, maybe it could be a family heirloom or something that is possed by the spirts and when zombies appears it either comes alive to a)protect it's family b) in sheer horror seeing the zombie who say Voodoo wasn't scare of the zombie?

King Arthur, can I join the play testing? my summer is about to be over and I want to play something funny before the school starts.
 
Cloner4000...Yes, no need to keep looking as I have the Tech Screens Completed. I agree that the Voodoo Doll by Plotinus is a "Screem" but again, we are not adding more to this release until we have all of the current work completed. There will always be many possibilities and certainly anyone can add and or change what they want with any Game so if you want to add something when you have this New Update, by all means feel free :)
Unless the Nuclear Zombie, Monster Zombie or Alpha Zombie is completed or if we had a Good Mutant Dog, we are finished adding units for this release.

I am sure that IF you send King Arthur your Address, he will send you the next Update for the testers.

odintheking... Just an Arrow is not anything special or really needed for the Victory Point. I have thought about the Victory Point in the past and would like to see something different but what would look best? I made a few versions of the LOTR Ring unit by beboy as Victory Points. Here they are if you want to try them. I believe the one I already have named x_victory.pcx is the best one but even a Ring is not really an appropriate Victory Point for this Scenario. If you want to try these victory points, just save your normal victory point and place the new one in your EFZI2 Terrain Folder.

The idea of dolls coming to life is quite deeply entrenched in Japanese culture, and it happens in a lot of anime. The picture I posted is of Kon, from Bleach, who is something of a satire on this idea (he's pathologically angry, but basically harmless).
 
Spacer One...I do not believe you can Fly all the way to the Victory Point but rather just to the Mainland. I had thought of a Helipad as well and also a Church lol.
When the Japanese get this Scenario, I am sure they will add Dolls :)

Thanks for doing the testing Wolfhart even though it leaves me confused. How frequent are the crashes anyway? It might be worth playing without music at all (remove or rename both the music.txt file and the music folder) and see if crashes still occur.

It should be 1 and non-lethal so that's a bug. I'll correct it soon. Thanks.
 
Wolfhart...Yes, thanks for running through the music and sounds. I agree that a few testers should totally remove the music and play so we can see if any crashes still occur. We need to discover what has caused any crashes and correct it.
King Arthur..a TV Station does seems appropriate for the Victory Point. That or a Hospital lol...or perhaps a church since the Zombies are spreading.

Wolfhart...the Icons should be in the Unit Folder.
 
Yep, they should be and I'm possibly a sloppy downloader, I give you that.
But... the Attack dog had dog-large.pcx and dog-small.pcx as pediapics before the latest revision of PediaIcons.txt, and in the RemadeHusky.zip there's no HuskyLarge.pcx or HuskySmall.pcx. So where did I miss them?

I too would like to playtest and see what changes have been accomplished since that first pbem test game we played ... Can't wait to put this next version through the pbem ringer :lol:

As Vuldacon said, the icons are in the unit's folder and you'll have to manually copy them across to the pediaicons\units folder.

I've just been sending files as I get them from Vuldacon - it's quicker for everyone to see the changes.

I could have batched the updates up so you get one big zip that extracts all files to the correct locations but this would prolong testing.

Possibly, I'm going to do another YouSendIt upload for the next round of playtesting - providing everyone's still willing.

Oh and current playtesters I need some more feedback on game balance. From what I've read Company are too easy now. Is this right?
