Guns, Guns, Guns

Murphy and Henderson silently moved across the street. They were feebly armed; only a big stick and a broken axe.
Suddenly Murphy noticed one shop that, somehow, had remained unlooted. On closer inspection it was, ironically, a gun shop.
Henderson took the axe head and smashed the door open.
Inside the walls were lined with shotguns, BB-guns, handguns, rifles, and over the fireplace in the far back was an old Winchester.
Murphy eaglery grabbed the nearest weapon and tossed it to Henderson exclaiming with a smirk, "Guns, Guns, Guns; can't have enough of 'em"
 
D.I.Y.

"Ok, let's see, this little bolt goes here I think, um wait, no it goes right... No, I was right the first time. Now, does this nut go here. Oh! Now I get it... This piece connects..."

<Rather Large Explosion>

"Dang it! Well, back to the ol' drawing-board."
 
Aid Relief

A huge plane flew over the remnants of a once populated surburbian borough. Now all that remained was the blackened ruins of roughly 7 houses. As the plane flew over the area it released hundreds of parachutes of aid parchels.
After they hit the ground the air was silent. Then after about 3 minutes 5 people climbed out of a wrecked car/barricade.
"I think it's safe," One said.
They grabbed as many boxes as possible, then stood looking into the air, hoping for more planes to come for them...
 
errrr....I am back....sorry, I was caught up in a big test that I have to take which "define" my future.....something to do with college and stuff..and my parent prohibit me from playing any games...but now that's over, I was able to play a few games a zeb and authorities.... For Authorities I play 12A with Most Aggressive clicked and it feel just like when I play 18A....really hard!!! The bats took radio station without trouble and I lost two SWAT trying to take it back. Hospital barely hold with two riot cops and Nat'l Guard KIA battling three nursing (1 spawn) Almost taken Bank, but lacking enough forces to do so.

Amrory is holding quite well, only one or two KIA while battling the zombies there.

The prices of rushing units is double....I don't really like the change overall,but will have to test further to see what is does to the game.

So far no fatal bugs found.
 
I received the patch and will start again as Company on 12A.

Initial Impression ... I prefered it when Company had to produce Handymen ... It added to the strategy and fun when their were less ... I have 4 prebuilt :(
:eek: OMG They're comming !!! what do we need more ?!! Defenders or Fix the road to get Resourse ?!!

Suggestion ... I would have less maybe only one or two at the most.
Get rid of them from the Warehouse and Top Secret Lab.
Maybe evem from Dog Pound (But I'm in two minds about this)
Reason ... They are a good way to control the speed of population growth in the buildings.

I noticed that it seemed that it could air drop a unit ... I also don't like this ... not really necessary because Farmers don't have that much territory.


Question ... Has any tester played as the Survivors and made it to the Mainland?
I was testing them in previous version and was unable to build the Helicopter ... just wondering if this has been fixed???

... I have been holding off on this as NOT to spoil surprise when the scenario is released.
 
Nice to have you back Cloner4000. I will give the Authorities a try myself as they've been a bit neglected by me of late. It could be a few more starting units will help them out. As for rushing being increased yes this was done but you should have plenty of supplies around mid game to compensate slightly for this. As Authorities I usually go after the Conference Centre with SWAT and the SMG security guy and take it quite easily. Armoury is also easy to take if you use Hank and The Snake is good to use to help defend the Hospital. Really Authorities is about late game whopping; you just have to get to late game to do it.

Only under laboratory conditions, i.e. during testing. I'm sure it isn't broken. You just need to have Big Finale tech, the Pilot resource and build your helicopter to take your "lucky" unit to the TV Station VP. It takes 10 turns (this is the minimum you can set) to get enough VPs to win. I'd like someone to confirm it works as it should of course.

Absolutely want them but not posted just yet! Best to send them to Vuldacon and he will cast his artistic eye over them. I plan to do a few myself by mocking scenes up in the editor to capture what I hope is the true flavour of the scenario.
 
Status .. Company 8pm Day 4
Techs I have -
1. Keep Em' Out (very important for security)
2. Aid Relief (after Drop Zone has been completed, I actually use the packages to trade)
3. Guns Guns Guns
4. Here Boy and Revenge of the Nerds aquired through trade.
5. Keep the Lights On
6. Cybernetics ... will have in 6 turns

Just taken Bank
and have Mutual Protection with Farmers and Survivors ... Authorities don't have enough supplies to warrant such a deal ;)

I really like Chopper, it is good to be able to reinforce the isolated compounds with upgraded personell.

IDEA ... If others factions are frustrated by lack the lack of increases reseach bonuses ... what if Revenge of the Nerds allowed an improvement ... ummm ... Think Tank which would give a bonus in reseach BUT not as much as Research Centre.
The Company obviously would not be able to build this.

Question 2 ... when the foe is attacking a building, can you explain why Security, Handymen and then unique units (Natasha, Daryl Paine, Director) are attacked in that order ... it seems strange because most of the unique characters have greater defense stats?

Yes the unique units have the King flag from when I had regicide turned on. Regicide is no longer part of the game so the King flag could be removed. Question is does everyone want it removed?
 
Sorry I ment resisting ... but I have a vage memory (been a long time since I've played vanilla) that Resisting causes smoke, but I am probably wrong :blush:

My frustration was that a Handyman was being chased and he took shelter in a building with only Natasha :groucho: to protect him ... but he was killed :( ... and there endeth a potential romance :cry:
 
Mike Hammer could be of more use if his starting hitpoints is 4 ... 3 is a bit scrougey (is that a word ???) for a unique character.
 
Regarding the flagging thing ... I like that the Test Subjects are ... you have to slash and hack through all the others until you get to them :thumbsup:


Does anyone else have an opinion on the flagging of unique units ???
 
Some things that I jotted down:

-The biq was looking for "Zombie_01,flc", and us testers don't have those files, yet. I just replaced with the old ones for now.
-The Civ Strengths 'pedia should be changed to something like GCON_Strengths2, or something so that there's no "more" button with the default strengths.
-I keep moving my workers out with the rest of my zombies. :p
-The AI took my armory. I was 1 HP from taking their military base!
-The AI took my Fast Food Resturant. I took the Radio Station :p
-The Company+Authority are ganging up on the Bank. Uh, oh!
-Do I really need so many workers? Oh, well, they're good on the defense.
-The "Old War Vet" is still using the old graphics.

So, the list of changes I think need to be made:
1. Update leaderhead info
2. Change the GCON_Strengths pedia
3. Find some way of differentiating between the Worker and normal Zombies
4. Change "Old War Vet" graphics to GI graphics, or better. (Maybe WW1 Rifleman graphics would do better?)
 
:confused: I cannot upgrade Dr Lazar to Manbot :(

I have Evil Genuis technology and over 300 supplies in the coffers, he is also positioned in the Company HQ.

I also have the following resources ... Nerd, Fuel, Spare Parts, Uranium.


@Virote_Considon ... Did you add the patches that were sent (the last yesterday?)
 
:confused: Farmeres were moving or Zombies attacking ... anyway things were moving with units doing their stuff and as this was happening I heard a dismembered voice ... "So Sorry I didn't see you"

Also I think that the wierd sound I heard in relation to Hired Hand ... is a very accented "Boy" ... which sounds like "Noi"

I've added the 2 patches that I've received since the intital download, if that's what you mean. One on the 18th and the one I added today.
