Regarding the Church, being surrounded by trees is good protection against wheeled units ... but why are monster zombies wheeled? ... and are Nuclear zombies wheeled as well?

I guess the reason is they are too big to fit into appartment blocks and sky scrapers.

I'm actually wondering why the church has no road access ... if there was one road it would solve many problems with this building ... and also make it open for attack if the monster zombies remained wheeled.

Land Mines have 1 move and Range of 2..they Air Drop (tossed off Buildings).

The Church is surrounded by trees as a "Safe Place" ... Monster Zombies are set as wheeled to prevent them access to most of the buildings and areas with trees.

I actually sent him back to Bastion building with Machine Shop ... but now he can upgrade ... strange that he couldn't before.

Still cannot build Movie Theatre or anything apart from units in the Cinema ??? Same with Radio Station and a couple other buildings which are all connected to the core.

Sound issue with the Farmer's Guard Dog unit ... It was attacked and died

I heard the yelp of a painfull death and it continued to bark once more after it had disappeared ... this is due to the defending sound being too long I think.

I use them to defensive bombard.

Oh I see ... when the building is attacked they are the first unit to inflict damage to the attacker and then the weakened unit fights it out with your defending unit.

I tested with a champion (3/7) and the mine in a building ... Monster Zombie (4/4) attacking.

champion fired first and then the zombie attacked the mine ... the battle raged for a melee of 4 ... and the mine was victorious and is now promoted.

Suggestions ... It would be good if a mine could be transported or placed around outside a building and is destroyed after one attack.

However this may cause problems regarding game mechanics ... so it would be preferable IMO if a mine is destroyed (like sheep) on contact and cannot be moved ... and change the stats and properties to enable this ...

The pedia could easily explain this and how to use the unit ... this home-made device is very very unstable and sensitive to movement ... it is NOT an offensive unit and so all you do is set it in place and activate (great arming sounds) .. It has been designed to be used to defend a building automatically when attacked.

That would involve it not being capable of letting go after it is picked up until it goes to your capital.

Regarding the Land Mines... They simply have the wrong settings. I have been using them for years.

Remove Bombard settings totally. Set only Attack and Defense for the amount of strength wanted and hit points can be used IF you want the unit to last longer...if not, use 0 hit points and lower the Defense especially. Set the Unit as an Immobile Foot Unit with Air Drop ability and Remove the Go to and Explore settings. Set the Operational Range for distance and one move. This will use the "AirDrop" with the Sewer Access. This unit can be Loaded and or picked up by a transport unit that has the ability to transport foot units. The ONLY problem with this is for the AI because land Mines are immobile and the AI will try and transport them in ships or water transports and then have them unload to land. This will cause a crash because they are immobile and therefore can only be Unloaded in a City. They cannot move like a Foot Unit but rather must be "unloaded". IF the AI cannot load Foot Units to a transport, they cannot cause any problem because they could not then try to have the land mines move to land. These land mines can AirDrop or be picked up and unloaded anywhere by the AI with no problems because they are then being "unloaded rather than disembarking as they would have to do as foot units if a transport carried them to land. When a Land Transport or air transport carries them, the land mines are "unloaded or AirDroped and again no problems.
This will use the parachute animation I made for them to place the land mines..."tossed off the Building tops". They can sentry or be fortified but are immobile. I would set them as invisible and give them Radar to see visual range. IF set with Zone of Control (recommended), they will explode when units pass their zone. IF you want these units to "Die" after one use...set them with lower attack Defense settings. IF you want them to be able to be picked up or moved, simply have any transport that can transport foot units pick them up. Just do Not allow the AI to transport them with a Water Transport.

It was almost midnight and having decided to get straight to work after a very successful dinner party she was still dressed in a stylish silk evening gown which accentuated her full figure. She had just secured a lucrative contract to supply traditional Japanese furnishings for an exclusive club due to open on Paradise Island in 3 months, so had decided to send an e-mail to her supplier in Tokyo ... Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a scream from outside ... a scream full of terror.

Yumiko reached under her desk and drew out the Glock 10mm complete with silencer, a gift from an admirer that she kept hidden for security. She handled the firearm with a natural expertise that had left many of the male instructors awe struck when she continued to get perfect scores at the pistol firing range ... More screams and now the sound of frantic running.

She turned on the outside lights and moved with feline stealth through the shop towards the front of the shop. Outside 2 people attracted by the light had rushed up and started franticly pounding on the reinforced glass of the front doors. They saw her and started to urgently wave and plea for entry. She quickly unlocked, opened and relocked the door, the scared couple fell inside sobbing hysterically at her feet ... Outside more figures were moving around the street, they looked odd and somehow feral, clothing stained and tattered, their movements jerky and twitchy.

"They killed Sara and Ken ... They killed Sara and Ken ..." the girl repeated over and over. Her partner lay shacking in a ball silent in shock.

Suddenly a horn sounded ... tires screeched ... and CRASH as a car swerving madly smashed into the front window of the shop opposite. The driver stunned opened the door and staggered half out. He was instantly set upon by the figures outside and violently pulled from the wreckage and ... torn apart in a frenzy of screams and flailing limbs ...

"I agree Mr. Chairman, we have reports that the populus is armed and roaming the streets, the Authorities are trying to restore order and the Farmers, well Zeb is playing his own game as usual."

"Well Director I think that you must plug the leak, control the communication that enters and leaves the island"

"I agree Mr. Chairman, I will send some of our people over to the Radio Station to assist in fixing the Transmitter which will soon be suffering 'technical problems' ... and persuade those present that we need to broadcast a good dose of 'easy listening music' to ease the fear and panic."

"Very well ... Oh and let me say that it is paramount for certain questions not to be asked, do you understand?"

The Director's wheelchair hummed as he manueveured to the large window of his office. Outside the dark of night was pin pricked by isolated spots of light. Most were fires left to burn unattended, others were spots of illumination evidence that someone had got an electrical generator working.

"So are you telling me that you are not in control of the situation?"

"No Mr. Chairman, I'm saying that the surviving population seem to be hanging on and defending quite well against the infected."

"I'm not interested in the antics of the ants, I am only concerned on how this will effect the Company's bottom-line."

"I understand, everything is within expected forecasts Mr. Chairman, I have also taken the added precaution of collecting all the 'sensitive' information and ordered that all hardcopies are shredded and all computer files and hard discs wiped."

"Good, I knew you were the right man to head this programme"

"There is one thing though Mr. Chairman, an interesting development, the virus is mutating. Dr. Lazar is getting samples and conducting an analysis but the evidence is there to suggest that the virus can jump species and also that a more virulent form has evolved which has the bonus effect of strengthening the infected ..."

"I want to know how safe his research material is?"

"Everything is sent via secure line to the data storage facility in Switzerland"

"Good, well I have a meeting with some congressmen so I must go, I will express my concerns that Fullbright's reaction to the situation is over the top and that he is seriously impinging against the civil rights of the citizens of Paradise Island, hopefully we can get him replaced or at the very least have his military reinforcements slowed to a trickle"

All of our resources on and off the island have been put at the disposal of the Government to help alleviate the stress on the resources available, all of our facilities have been opened up to the residents who require a safe refuge."

"I will not address the recent claims that this horror has been caused by us. I am here instead to focussing on the poor people trapped on the island. Let us concentrate on helping and rescuing those in need before we cast the stones of blame. Later, we will assist the Government in a totally transparent and open manner to investigate the cause."

"As we had a presence on the island and still have people there, we have decided to compensate all of our employees with a generous bonus for all the hardship suffered and to pay for all medical treatments required. A good corporate citizen looks after the community, therefore we will also assist in the cleanup and rebuilding of the island. We also urge all other corporations, businesses and members of the public to donate generously to the 'Help Paradise Island fund' which we have set up to provide assistance to all those who have suffered loss."

"Lastly we would like to offer a prayer to all the families and friends of the people who have been affected by this disaster and would like to tell them all that their relatives and loved ones will be well looked after ... because we care ... thank you"

"There seems to be a time factor involved, the longer the subject has been infected by the mutagen the less chance that the serum can assist."

"Hmmm, only 50% protection, I was hoping for a better result."

"Mr. Chairman, Dr. Lazar tells me that with more testing he is confident that he can boost it up to 60% maybe even more. Therefore I would like to propose that since the island is still isolated under quarantine that we have the perfect opportunity for further testing. However there is a slight snag ..."

"What sort of snag?"

"The better results come from subjects in their teens or preteens for optimum data."

"I see, is that really a problem Director?"

"Not really Mr. Chairman, we currently many refugees in our buildings, many of the required type and also have sourced pockets of school aged children who are hiding in various buildings."

"Well?"

"The problem is that we need a little more time"

"I see, well in that case I had best make some calls to Capital Hill."

A shadowy figure precariously perched on the roof of a small cottage, inside he senses a number a of scared people huddled together in the dark, confused and anxious ... 3 men, one of them barely, 2 women, a recent mother and her baby, a teenaged boy, a girl who thinks she is and a young boy.

But he was focused on something else, infact a number of somethings, a number of horrible and dangerous somethings who were gathered just outside the house and stand sniffing the air.

A child's whimper ... and as one the things outside twitch and stagger to the door and start thumping and scratching at the wood. Others move to the windows and smash the glass for entry. Screams and shouts now from inside and then panicked flight as the scared group rush outside, the adults armed with makeshift clubs and tools, the teenager a baseball bat and the mother an iron skillet in one hand, the babe clutched tightly in the other. The paniced group bash and batter desparately at the feral shapes.

The dark figure acts swiftly ... his hands flicking as he leaps to the ground and rolls.

THWACK THWACK THWACK a rapid succession of deadly sharpened steel stars fly through the air and imbed themselves into the heads of three tattered shapes as they threaten the mother and baby.

Now on his feet he leaps again, this time scattering the group with a frenzy of punches and kicks.

He leaps again but this time his arms are vicious blades and like a dervish he slashes and hacks at the creatures, severed limbs fly in all directions as the deadly Kamas slice bone and tendon with ease.

Again and again he strikes, effortless, a graceful dance of death, in and out, dice and slice, each time with less partners standing.

At last he stops, scattered around him a carnage of bodies and parts, some still twitching, some still gurgling .. all now neutralised.

He approaches the shocked group, they stare at him their weapons held weakly at their sides.
"Who ... who are you?" a man asks. "Help Help him !!!" a woman screams, on the ground moaning is one of the men.

The stranger approaches the man writhing on the ground looking at the gaping neck wound, "There's nothing I can do, he is infected"
"Wha ... What do you mean?"
"He has been bitten and will soon change" the stranger lifts his Kama, the moon gleaming off the super sharp edge of the blade.
"No No No Get away !!!" the woman pleads as she shields her man.
"Hey Mister, Don't you touch him! Don't you touch my Dad !!", the teenager steps between them.

The wounded man is now writhing on the ground and beginning to grunt and howl. "Get out of the way boy" a threat but delivered in an even tone, good advice and advice that is best to be heeded. The infected man flings the woman away and starts to rise ... his eyes feral. With a flick of his arm, the teenager is thrown aside and rolling to the ground gasping for air.
The changed one lunges, the blade flashes in an arc, the body crumples lifeless, the head sails away to thud down nearby.
"Nooooooo !!!" the woman screams.

He turns to the group, "Take the road, turn left, turn right, there is a house with a Shinto shrine, it is the home of Mr. Tokugawa, there you will be safe."
"Who are you?"
" Tell him that Vuldacon has sent you ... and one more thing"
Like lightning he grabs the teen wannabe girl and rubs her hair and face in the mud.
"They smell you! Now go and be swift."

He watches them leave silently wishing them luck. Moving to the body of the man he had to kill, he stands head bowed for a moment then disappears like a dark avenging wraith, into the night ...

I don't like Ms. Tokugawa's new entry. I miss the "talentless jap-rap group" and the bring by the gentlemen's club. More funny that way.

fe3333au...Is the Guard Dog unit you have Off Center in the game squares? Yes, the Sound is far too long for the attack and the Sound placed for "Defend" not only does not have a flc for it but is Not necesary. I am correcting this unit now...I do not remember after all this time if I already corrected this unit long ago. I do not have the files IF I did.

Concerning the "Miss Tokugawa Placement and entry". There is no way to please every individual because there are many different opinions. Basically. Miss Tokugawa was placed in the Furniture Store because number one, it needed another defender, number two, the Prom Queen fit better at the School and number three, Miss Tokugawa could do no good by the Gentlemen's Club alone. If that was really desired, She might as well be given to the Zombies and set up where she would have to be Rescued from the Gentlemen's Club. Some have pointed out that they do not like the Faction label, Zombie, being kept with these rescued units...that is the way the game works. IF a unit is captured from another "Faction", they retain their former faction name. Sam Hammer had to be set up with the Zombies in order to be able to rescue him and he retains the Zombie Faction name after rescue. Miss Tokugawa would also retain the Zombie Faction name after being rescued.
Perhaps a different unit should be given to the Furniture Store and Miss Tokugawa be set up so she has to be Rescued from the Gentlemen's Club...? This would mean that she would not be availabe to use until rescued and her label would be of the Zombies. I am not sure if King Arthur has set up an upgrade for her in his files recently because there are several unit issues we are discussing lately.

If you want someone to be rescued ... (and I really like having units liberated around the map) ... what about the Cleopatra 'King unit' ... she looks exotic and is probably an act that brings in the punters

Question about Survivor win ... once a helicopter is built, do you just have to enter the mainland building with any unit or does it have to be Hammibal ???

Upgrade Costs .. Gatling Gal to Biker Babe ... I think that there should be upgrade cost ... at this point in my game I have heaps of cash and nothing to spend it on apart from rushing units. Also I cannot produce ANY Bikers in my buildings only Gatling Gals

When attacking the 3 yellow beams seem to come from a wierd direction ... No Death graphic !!!

In the interim (as she is sort of pplaceholder) perhaps get rid of the current attack and replace with just a sound and add a scream to death.
