Establishing Embassies?

This may sound like a dumb question, but how the hell do you establish embassies? hen i discover writing i can establish with people i have already met (it pops up and asks) but then after that I have no idea on how to set up embassies with new civs i meet etc?

Can anyone point this out??

its a badly solved user interface here heh:

°you need right-click your main city (I think where palace is) to get the menu item for it.

to do the espionage missions, you also need do that, but might be you need right-click the city with intelligence agency. And first, youn need plant the spy efficiently.

Double click on the capital icon(star) next to your capital's name.
Planting spies works the same way with the small difference that you have to double click on the Int. Agency icon next to the city you built it in.
To use your embassies/spies simply double click on the icon next to the ENEMY'S capital and select your action.

It's easier to use a spy by clicking on the pentagon looking symbol where you made the intelligence agency.

It's easier to use a spy by clicking on the little E button in the lower right corner. By doing that you don't have to search for the rights city.

Or Ctrl-e and Ctrl-Shift-e and Shift-e. They are all about espionage but I forgot what their functions are exactly.
