Nope, just trying to connect via IP. But it wasn't working.
I do have Hamachi installed on one of my computers, but we'd need alpav to be on board, too.

BJLT... I think it usually goes to AJLT after you've started/loaded a game and gone back to the main menu. Restarting will get you back to B. But since none of us can connect, that isn't the cause of the issue.

A few months ago I tried my hand at modding, but I thought I changed everything back. Still, ever since then, some of the text in the game has been messed up or sprinkled with German, although it never really affected anything except my ability to see my yearly income.
After that, I installed MEIOU, which for some reason replaced the game's loading screen with its own, no matter what mod I try to load. I can still run vanilla, though.
EDIT: I'll try validating the files on Steam.
EDIT: Steam said something about "converting the games's content." Waiting...

So, what do we want to do? I thought alpav would show up here after a few minutes once he realized no one was joining, but maybe he got caught up doing something else and it isn't a technical issue? It looks like we've got 3 people right now, no idea where BILLSIF is, either.

Whatever Steam did, it changed the loading screen back to normal, and got rid of the random German, but my checksum is now QPKH.
Un-installing and then re-installing worked for me.

BJLT for vanilla 5.1. Though I don't know if the Steam one might be slightly different? I bought mine via Gamersgate.
