EU3 Multiplayer

afair, you ended the session at war with the French Teal state to the south, Aquitaine I believe.

I take it nothing bad happened while I was gone?

You've got a couple rebels in the mainland - Orleans and that province to the north of it - but I don't think it's anything that's going to be major for you. Just some Orleanais nationalists, hoping for the future glory of Orleans. Which is probably futile - although in my Shawnee game, Orleans somehow gained land and prominence.

Can someone upload the save?

I can't right now because my computer is acting strangely. I think it's the GPU, since the symptoms are the picture disappearing while fans whirr, and sound continuing to play as if nothing happened. Hopefully, it will be more cooperative in the morning, and I can attach the save then (if someone else hasn't by then). In the spirit of crash avoidance, I'll also be doing some investigative work on it this week.

My trusty old laptop is working just fine (and could host next week if need be), but doesn't currently have the save.

Got my computer operational again (minus the video card), so here's the save! (attached)

edit: removed the save to help reduce CFC attachment size. Still available on my hard-drive, as with all of my saves from this game.

I'm busy on Sunday morning, but I'll probably be able to get here by 2. Just a heads-up if I do miss it.

The next session is tomorrow! Countdown:

[TIMER="9/23/2012 2:00 PM EDT; You're late!!!"]Ringg!!!![/TIMER]

I'll be there, METY probably will, we'll assume everyone else is unless they post otherwise.

The game is now up. My IP is still the same.

Edit: Starting now w/alpav and Pessimist. We'll be checking periodically (hourly-ish) to see if anyone else has shown up (post here if so!).

Apparently, the internet in my area has had an outage. Damn.

The internet at Starbucks isn't good enough for EU3 multiplayer, so I'll pass on this session. Try to keep the AI from failing.

METY the AI screwed you over.
They attacked me and their whole army is destroyed, -2 stab and rebels everywhere.

Session Summary

It is now the thirty-first of January, 1467 - some thirteen years and two months have elapsed.

The most notable conflict of this session was the lengthy, bloody war between Castille and an alliance led by England, including at various times Aragon, Brittany, and Guyenne. Castille sought a restoration of their personal union over Brittany; England was determined to defend Brittany, who was in the English Sphere of Influence. Lasting perhaps some nine years, in the end, Castille achieved her war objectives, including the restoration of the union, the annexation of Guyenne, and taking a province from Aragon.

England, for its part, suffered some revolts during the war, and lost their army at one point, but didn't lose any provinces. Still, stability is at -1, so it can't have been a particularly profitable session. England also adopted its second National Idea this session, Superior Seamanship. I doubt it's exactly what METY had planned, but at least it has some uses. Castille took Military Drill to better fight England's armies; by now all human powers except the Ottomans (not to mention the AI Bohemians) have adopted Military Drill in a morale race of sorts.

Castille later allied with Burgundy against Aragon, and took several more provinces, with Burgundy taking two provinces as well. Burgundy spent most of the session at peace, being ruled by a rather terrible regency council. Burgundy did, however, inherit Mantua, henceforth known as "Best Sundgau".

Also of note on the geopolitical scene is that Castille released its North African territories as vassals. This move is seen as strategically useful, as it will help Castille advance technologically.

The Ottomans split their time between Horde wars, and Mamluk wars, as has often been the case of late. Two Horde provinces were added, plus a few more from the Mamluks. As the situation stands right now, the Ottomans are once more at war with the Mamluks. The Eastern Roman Empire remains independent, as apparently the Ottoman nobles have decided that conquering Egypt (and various other missions in the past) is much more important than taking Constantinople.

Austria fought two wars against Bohemia this session, with Bavaria as principal ally. Results included the liberation of Brandenburg, and the revocation of several Bohemian cores. Nonetheless, the Bohemians remain relatively strong.

The highlight of AI progress is the continued expansion of Mazovia, who conquered Poland this session. The Timurids also continue to do well, establishing themselves in northern India.

:bump: About 12 hours to the next session.

METY, it's probably a good thing you're coming back - England feels threatened by the Golden Horde . Not that Castille and I don't feel threatened by them, too, it just seems slightly... sillier... when the Horde can't build any boats and powerful countries such as Mazovia (not to mention the whole HRE and Burgundy) still protect your continental posessions from them.
