I would like to try multiplayer, but I keep hearing bad things about gamespy, for example that it's only about rushing axemen and that people keep leaving in the middle of games. I'm not that interested in PBEM games because they're so slow .
I replied in another thread like this one, but most other people there were from the US, so it wouldn't work out with the time zones. So if someone from Europe (or the UK ) wants to play multiplayer, please post here!

Maybe a quick game with a small (tiny?) map, since my computer isn't really state of the art. I'm from Sweden, which means CET. And I don't think my civ-skills are fantastic, or even good, but I beat my friends!

Dane here I would be interested in game too played about 10 mp games so far have also played a good deal of civ3, im no expert but I can play with different strategies and I know most of the game mechanics.

Yes, but AFAIK, this is only in Gamespy and not always, so if we're lucky, we can play over Gamespy, and if not, we'll have to use direct IP connection.
