So I am fed up with Hiawatha always ruining a game and playing on continents, and decide to play as Arab on Pangaea with select civs (India, Britain, German, Inca, Spain, Greek, and Songhai).
I have done nicely, expanding rather peacefully, raking several wonders, keeping happiness in check, have several ages of wonder, several great engineers, and filling up two social policy trees.
And oh, I have taken three of Elisa's cities because she was the only one daring enough to attack me and his term of peace negotiations are impolite.
But that's the only war I have been having so far. Now I am at peace with Eli with she glaring at me everytime we met. No problem there.
So I expand and add three more cities after gaining that wonder that gives us 10 happiness (Notre Dame!). One of the cities is smacked right in front of Gandhi's capital and he is not happy. I said sorry, but still he frowned upon me.
Meanwhile, across the continents, Alex's is the object of everyone's hate and have been waging war over and over while not gaining anything.
Obviously, being a war monger that he is, he hates me.
But he doesn't dare to wage war on me because I keep on draining his coffers with my cottons and gems.
As a matter of fact, I think no one dares to battle me after I shut Elisa's up and keep supplying everyone with luxuries and draining their coffers.
And no one knows about my true powers because I have never opened a border while they keep on opening theirs for my luxuries.
I guess not knowing my true powers, knowing that I can shut Elisa's up, and keep on supplying them with luxuries made everyone hesitant to attack me.
So yeah, on this hood, everyone's my friend except the one lady that misjudge my powers, my grudging neighbor, and that warmongering man nobody like.
Good game so far. Let's see if I can have peaceful cultural win !
