So you're a fanatic? Prove it!

Here's my story. Three years ago, when my wife introduced me to Civ and I quickly upgraded to CivII, I changed our home answerphone message. I took one of the heralds' fanfares from the CivII diplomacy dialogues, digitally spliced on one of the drum rolls from those dialogues, and recorded a voice message over the top. Our answerphone message has stayed that way for three years! The reactions it gets vary

So what proof can you offer the outside world that you're a Civfanatic?

i stayed up until at 4 am about 5 days a week last month.

I drew a map of English territory on the front of my binder and plotted possible invasion strategies (during science)and it took me about twenty seconds to realize I had been asked a question and the whole class was staring at me.

Lets see, how am i a civ fanatic. Well, during the summer me and my friend would play from 10pm-11am the next day of civilization straight! no stopping!
When i sleep during class (which is alot

) I think of civilization strategies and how i could've beaten my friend, and how i can increase my income.

O yeah this isn't a story about a civilization game, so i'm going to move this to Civ2 General.

I would say that SunTzu is FANATICAL about keeping his Stories and Tales section on the straight and narrow.

Yup. I'd say the Stories/tales section is only 1 tile wide.

Well, I've been sleeping in class a lot now, everytime the teacher tells us to read a book. Also, when we're watching a film, I fall into deep slumber.

I will tell you that I think I'm one of the biggest fanatics ever. First of all I've been playing the game of civ since 1988, that is a long time to not get board of a game, but continually looking for new ways to beat it. Now that we have multiplay it makes it more exciting to try and beat other players, something I wanted ever since the game came out. Well here is how bad it is with me. Those who have met me know that I'm in the Navy stationed aboard the USS George Washington (aircraft carrier). Well right now I'm sailing the seas on a small 1 week trip and I'm on this site while I'm working out here. I thought that was pretty bad, I'm not going to mention what my wife thinks of it all. If I could play out here on this lan trust me I would, but It dose not want to let me. I will talk with you guys when I get home next week, those I'm playing games with that is.

Well, I'm so addicted to that game that I play it since 1990, I had to change schools one time because I played and my grades were too bad. I once sold my computer so I couldn't play anymore, now I'm studying computer engineering and I think I'll fail my tests because I just found out that I'm not the only Civ fanatic out there
