Yeah.... but its not the same if their not official

That's true. CivArmy can do them pretty official looking. Making leaderheads is hard. Personally, i like flag leaderheads better.

America: Abraham Lincoln, America: Teddy Roosevelt, England: Winston Churchill, Greece: Pericles.

When I'm playing fantasy games I never play as a human. Whats the point? Same thing with a civ game.. I never play as American. (not because organized sucks... well maybe)

I definitely want to see Stalin in the game, think of all the threads that will generate ;)

I went for Ramesses, Cleopatra and DeGaulle.

Although looking at it again, I find it totally absurd that Lincoln isn't an American leader already. I think most Europeans might think this way too...comments? :p

I would vote for Stalin. I remember him fondly from Civ I, "Greetings from one who make mortals tremble", and five turns afterward he would invariably declare war on me, and started mopping up my pathetic civ with dozens and dozens of tanks. If it is possible, I would like them to bring back Shaka from the Zulu as well, he used to whoop my ass pretty often in Civ I as well. I also enjoyed the popup art screen when I discovered a new tech, as well as animation of my army marching into captured cities, too bad they didn't include those in Civ IV.

My Civ memories of the Zulu are that they colonise every single spare part of land at a remarkable rate, then colonise the parts that aren't spare.

I don't think I ever saw a game where the Zulu weren't at least twice around their own city names, then borrowing from others.

Lenin, Rameses, Lincoln, Churchill, Augustus with a write-in for Meiji Japan

Augustus, Pericles and Ramesses. I really feel those civs should have 2 leaders; also Spain could use another leader... maybe Fernando de Aragon? (Isabella's husband).
I also think it's weird they replaced ol' Lincoln for Roosevelt/Washington...

Actually, Franco could be a good Alt-Spain leader.

I also voted for the first ruler of the Jews - no not God.

I voted for TR (they could do some great animation of him gnashing his teeth together!), Augustus Caesar, Winston Churchill, and a write in for a new Celtic or Irish leader (assuming they add that civ too) - Brian Boru.

By the way, does anyone find it peculiar that Archidamus II was one of the options? That's the only one that I've never heard of before. You'd think that there were plenty of other more famous leaders Firaxis could have given as an option instead. As others have pointed out - Franco or Ferdinand or as I point out now Carlos (Charles) of Spain. Xerxes or Darius for Persia. Henry VIII of England (although Churchill is an excellent choice and seems to be leading the pack). Indira Gandhi for India. Just to name a few.
