Do you prefer to make a huge country or a huge culture in a Switzerland country (tiny, rich, well organized)? The real question is: Cultural or Domination victory?

In the poll, please don't select all of the options.

I generally go for a large high culture civ.

I see these as two examples of the same thing. Conquest is always a large part of my cultural victories (more cities = more culture). If I want to play a smaller empire, I go for diplomatic victory.

I really can't get a culture win without tons of conquest in order to get enough cities to make enough culture.

I can't stand the waiting involved with culture victory. And I don't like not being at war wiping my enemies out. Domination over cultural for me, but conquest more satisfying and preferable over all types.

I prefer Donination victory...it is just more fun than waiting for the cultural victory(but as the others said these two actually go together-you conquer other civs and get more culture)

You don't need to have culture buildings in your large empire. I mostly choose to go domination and I don't bother building cathedrals. I can get my hapiness from luxuries.

You can get a one city culture victory.

Usually (9/10 times) I play as Babylon. Cultural victory you say? No. I have all victory conditions but conquest and domination shut off. Violence is the key.

I love going ballistic too, by the time I get to late industrial I can't help myself. I MUST INVADE. But one thing I never really got a hang of is the difference between Domination and Conquest. I think I read that Domination mean controlling 2/3 of the world's land mass, whereas Conquest means wiping all other Civs out. Now, wouldn't you already have gained a Domination victory before Conquest? I've never been sure or looked it up properly, so I basically always shut all victory options except Conquest off. This way the game gets as long as I want it to be...

I asked myself the same question several times, is it possible to achieve conquest? don't you always achieve domination first?

I like culture conquering, that's boosting culture of my outermost cities so that my neighbours' cities flip to me... whithout shooting one round.

I’m an incurable warmonger. Capture their cities, turn them into comedians, and watch them starve. The world is mine and the only good Civ is a dead civ

I usually get Domination wins ;) , but my empire MUST be orderly and nicely
bordered :crazyeye: . I also wondered about difference b/w Conquest/Dom.
:p , but I didn't really THINK about it right (raze) :suicide:

I usually get Space Race and Diplomatic wins, and 20K culture if I really try. That means I suck at warfare. (especially modern)

i went by RoNs motto for china's special trait at first.

power of culture.

so i build temples/library/wonders frequently.
