Exploding Oil Barrel and Wonder

Sweet Unit, Vuldacon! Can't wait to test it out, now that I am back home and modding C3C again!

The default flc of the oil barrel makes a great resource unit. I've added it to my WW II scenario to be produced by major oil centers and then brought back for victory points. Thanx for making such an all around useful unit!! :goodjob: :)

Gary...... I just got my New Computer put together and am back Online but still much more work required to complete all my programs and settings...time consuming

Um, Vista or XP?

Best,

Oz

Ozymandias... I built my new computer with the following:
*XP Professional x64 Edition SP2C,
*ASUS M3A79-T Deluxe AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard,
*AMD Phenom 9850 Black Edition 2.5GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Processor ( Huge Graphics Card! ),
*Creative 7.1 Channel Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty ExtremeGamer Professional Series Sound Card,
*Corsair Dominator 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 SDRAM 1066 Dual Channel Memory,
*Western Digital VelociRaptor WD1500HLFS 150GB 10000 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive,
*Antec TPO-850 850W ARX12V Power Supply

I use an all Aluminum Tower and added some extra Fans so all Runs Very Cool.
...I will probably add 4 more GBs of Memory to make that 8 GBs.
...Very Fast Computer and I was VERY pleased at how much the prices have come down with the advanced improvements in the past 2 and 1/2 years. :)

Sounds like a hot machine :) I was only asking to see if I'd have someone to commiserate with over Vista ( :gripe: ). I also didn't know that XP could address 8 GB. One last note: I'd go to SP3.

Have Fun :) ,

I have used Vista for about a year with no problems.

Then you are indeed forunate ...
... Then again, most of my problems have been in trying to install older software packages and either them simply not installing or function keys mis-mapping (and this was all software that woked fine on XP).

Best,

Oz

EDIT/PS - Then again, there are issues like (1) not being able to access my own user files, even though I have Admin priveleges and have Protected Mode turned off and (2) Not being able to start software that came with Vista like PhotoExplosion ...

:gripe: ,

OZ... I totally understand... the "problems" are just not excusable for the Vista system. That said, there are "adjustments" to get around most of the "problems but that is Not "User Friendly"...This is why I went with the XP Pro System 64. There are a few minor areas to get around concerning software when going to a 64 bit System but most will run fine with the correct drivers and needed set up.

Balthazar... Thanks, Good to be back... Good to be Anywhere
...still going through the Thousands of adjustment settings to restore and enhanse all of the programs I have but all is going well.

I will stop this Off Topic posting here now but Happy New Year to all of you.

I can't even get Flicster to run properly! - And I'm seriously considering (despite the hassle) reformatting the machine with XP Pro.
