Choi is on the move and we've spotted a hill:

Let's make our exploration decisions in this thread.

Oh...potential much needed iron for a trader civ... :please:

I suggest continuing W for the next move.

Agreed. We want to plant our flag on top of that hill and admire the view of the spice fields below...hopefully

West sounds good to me. I can't play the save right now (can't believe it's our turn already!) but can play it this afternoon. Probably within the next eight hours so if anyone wants a move other than west for turn 7 please make your reasons known soon!

Not to be difficult… :mischief:

But what about going South-West?

After doing a little fog-gazing, it looks to me like there's a Mountain North-West of that hill… and we'll certainly want to climb it after the hill.

Clibing the Mountain will reveal all those tiles we'd see in the northish by moving directly west right now.

However, if we move SW – we could potential see any hills to our SouthWest that'd we miss otherwise. (I think)

Either way – it's a tiny issue. :)

West is good for me.

Btw, would this be the turn where you use the lux slider, and reassign a citizen? (just a friendly reminder ;) )

General tips on scouting (in case this is not known to everyone):
- always walk horizontal or vertical, never diagonal. With hor/vert moves you uncover 5 tiles per move (on flat land), with diagonal movs only 3 tiles per move.
- exceptions (sometimes) for hills and mountains, because they can also allow to see more tiles, and of course in coastal areas because we cannot swim.
- to meet rival civs, it is often a good idea to walk in a straight line as much as possible, because they are likely to be far away.

and Choi says "LET THERE BE COLOR FOR OUR CLOTHES!!!" Right there, on a river, in what looks like a good spot for a city, too!! just plop a settler right on that puppy ;)

maybe floodplains south of that, on the other side of that river, too?

Thanks for those tips zyxy... I know I've heard that before... I blame it on momentary insanity ;) Thankfully Donsig just went West

And that is a very promising looking site for City #2 ! [party]

I asked for spice and I got dyes... not bad!

hehe

We also have some jungle as a defensive buffer to the north, and a viewpoint on that mountain. Good for defence. Gives us fewer flanks to hold.

SW would be the short term best move for one turn, but I would argue W this turn and S onto that hill on the next turn.

And a mountain range to the west-south west. Very good for defensive purposes.

I think our second warrior could do a counterclockwise turn around the chamber. At a distance of about 4 tiles from the Chamber, just so that he can spot the best city locations for the future.

For the first warrior, W looks good to me. This close to the capital, our shortrange explorer will uncover all tiles we would see by climbing a hill.

wow... this is looking great!

Heading West again sounds fine to me :)

Let W be our consensus!
