extension wonders do not show on city

Hello all,

I am new to this forum. I have a problem I was wondering if you would help me with:

I installed Civ III Complete (incl. conquest and play the world). I previously only had CivIII.

In my Civ III Complete, it appears as though everything works fine except that when I earn a new wonder, only the original wonders show on the city landscape when I click on the "eye". The wonder announcement pic shows, but for the extended list of wonders (like zeus, etc) non show on the city landscape.

Any suggestions?

Welcome to CFC Cary!

This is a feature - not a bug. When the developers were working on Civ3 Conquests (which is what you are playing with Civ3 Complete), they decided to spend time with game code than artwork. As a result, there is no artwork in the city view screen for the wonders and improvements in Conquests - and there is no way to enable them. Sorry!

Hmmm!!

Is there a version of civ III that includes the artwork of the extended wonders on the city landscape? Or is that just some sort of crazy screw-up!

As Ginger Ale said, it is a feature, not a bug or "screw-up". There is no artwork for the extended wonders. They deliberately coded the game so that unless you are playing the "Epic" game (not scenarios/mods), there will not even be any Aerial View of the city at all.

It would have been nice if they had "left the door open" for modders to fill in the blanks, but they didn't.

At least my cities do show, only with just the "original" wonders.

What is the "epic" game?

I still hold that not adding the artwork is a scewup. Intentional or not.

"Epic" game just refers to plain game with normal rules.
