Natural and man-made wonders are too obscure and weak

The game has changed so the use of wonders have changed as well. There is more of them so they may seem less impactful but there are two things that are specific to Civ 7 which make them incredibly powerful. Both of these are because they last all game so their impact is huge. For example pyramids give +2 gold to rivers FOREVER. This could be thousands of gold over the course of the game which is a ton of buildings in your towns or quick units if invaded or tons of other things. (In general I find gold much more powerful in this game than others but that’s another conversation.)

The other thing is it gives adjacencies to everything. With smart district placement and overbuilding this wonder may also give you thousands of culture or science throughout the game as well.

I am pretty disappointed with the selection of natural wonders that I’ve seen (I think I’ve seen the same five in all my games so far), but I don’t have an issue with the buildable wonders. Plus, we’re going to get tons more and I’m all in favor of that.

The wonders are just not that wonderful in Civ7. Most of the time they are skippable. They are not game changing the way wonders were in previous versions.
