Inspired by luc's thread on "liberal communists", I thought I'd make a little poll to see how many here who self-identify as belonging to the extremes of the political spectrum in economical matters. :)

For purposes of this thread, anarchism and communism are both left-wing. If you disagree with this, please start your own poll.

Nota Bene: Nazism, if by that is meant something ressembling Hitler's ideology, is not economically hard right. Hitler belongs squarely in mainstream option on this poll.

In case you've not got it yet, this thread is about ECONOMICS. It's NOT about any non-economical beliefs, attitudes or doctrines associated with "left" and "right".

I am a libertarian.

I support the hard right! On economic matters only.

Is the hard right in tha hizouse?!

Not sure where I fit in.

Never been able to classify myself as anything...just depends on the issue. The older I get, the more conservative I get. (by that I mean, fiscally, small government, free-enterprise, ect...) but I also tend to be socially liberal...

I'm the 'otherwise hard-right', not a nazi- but I have extremist ideas. Not 100% sure what a libertarian is though...

I feel that most people are like this, slightly to the right on economic issues, but also slightly to the left on social issues (Except those in the old south or great plains or massachussetts). There needs to be a more moderate libertarian party, they would romp through the democrats and republicans.

Many seem to label this place as being full of leftists, yet so far no one has voted for the first option, and half have voted for the third. I for one am not surprised. :p This place hasn't been a socialist paradise for three or so years now.

(BTW, I debated whether I should vote as centrist-rightist or libertarian. I ended up voting for the latter, mostly just to be interesting. :p If there were an option between the two, I would vote for that. :p)

Libertarianism is not anywhere close to hard right.
Considering we're just talking economics here, why not?

Someone who is fiscally conservative and socially liberal. One that does not want the government to intrude in many parts of their lives. Kindof like anarchism, but is actually possible.

Care to substantiate that claim?

Nazi's are not hard right. I'll clarify this in the OP.

A libertarian is, very briefly, someone who is socially liberal and supports laissez-faire capitalism.

Im a hardcore capitalist but thats not one of the options.

Thanks for the explanation, I've heard people call nazi's right-wingers so I wanted to clarify, thanks for the clarification Non-conformist.

I'm a semi-libertarian= capitalist yet socially conservative.

im dead center ! .... im an idologist, eternal utopist!
