The closest thing to a happy dance I've had while playing Civ3 was the time I lit my beard instead of my pipe when I was peering in the fog trying to spot some wheat at the beginning of a game.
In a recent game I played, I had the luckiest suicide galley ever..surviving 3 turns in the ocean AND a barbarian attack before going on to make contact!
I have never before jumped out of my chair with joy....but I certainly did after that!
Watching the AIs killing each others while waiting patiently for the right moment to jump in to get their spoils. When my moment finally comes, I usually feel like dancing.[dance]
Despite my objection to them and their power, getting one is time for the "Dance of Joy." (Ten points to anyone who can catch that reference...) Usually I try to give the creating units good names at that point. (King Maker, Swordsman on Doom/Death etc, etc)
I would say getting a leader is the best ... for the FP.
Linked to perfectly time wonder build when you are quite sure other civs are building and you just do it before them.
It is so annoying when it is the opposite
My top Civ 3 Happy Dance moments.
1. GOTM 18 (Celts) - Through Some miracle I was able to get 3 wonders in one turn. I was trying to avoid the cascade, so I saved a leader to rush one. I finished one naturally. Rushed the second at the beginning of my turn, and then got a leader in combat later in the turn and used it to rush the 3rd.
(on to the more general happy dances)
#2. Ripping off the AI for Techs. Sell to a bunch of them and bankrupt them all. Makes for me dancing around.
#3. Getting a city in culture flip. Means I'm doing something right
The others are great too, but those make me really happy.
