well, looks like the "last 12" truelly bad words of ther english language has just dropped down to 11...

I don't watch TV anyway. This give me more reason not to.

Good, another blow to uptight puritan censorship! :goodjob:

That is great news.

Seems like society is just slipping further.

the article I read about the subject, while metioning a book on the subject, didnt include them ;)

though i wouls imagine thatmost of them are hardley used- like "****"- you never hear that one...

I shouls add though, that i support this

the f-word? you mean friend , fanatic, friday, forum , fountain, fortune, food , and football can now be said on TV ? wow :D

i'm ok with it, it's not like i don't hear it everyday anyway.

Wheel of Fortune should be more interesting now....

I doubt that'll happen. CFC has been a benevolent dictatoriship for a very longtime now. :p

The world may change, but CFC won't. :)

unless the UN agrees on laws regulatein gthe internet happen- hopefully it never will, but if it dosem the CFC, and its mod, and admin indipendece of choice are screwed :p

My guess is that much of the other 11 banned words are racially related slurs

As for censorship, i find it unnecessary, and annoying. How many great movies have to be ruined by being played cut up to bits with commercials, and then having any word worse than darn changed, thus ruining the context for the word in the first place.

However, if sitcoms started using the "f-word" it would not change the fact that most of them still suck.

on CTV (canadian television) they do not censor anything when they air the Sopranos, which come on at 9 or 10, the heart of primetime for our timezone at least.

Some radio stations in calgary (CJAY 92 comes to mind) doesn't censor very often, Matthew Good Bands "rico" is a prime example.
