Faith & Espinage features are missing in old civ5 saved game

Hi all,

I've recently purchased and installed the God and Kings expansion pack and I notice a problem in my old civ5 saved game. I can't find Faith and Espinage features in my old civ5 saved game. But I can find them if I start a new game.

My question is how do you enable Faith and Espinage features in your old civ5 saved game without starting a new game? I really don't want to start a new game to have all the new G&K features since I spent so much time building the current empire.

Not possible, since the required DLC is automatically activated/deactivated.

Is this a known issue by the game developer and do they or any MOD that can modify this? This is really annoying.

I would not really categorize it as a problem.
For most games it's not possible to play with the expansion a savegames which was created without the expansion. There are lots of technical reasons for that.
e.g. how should faith and espionage be calculated? How would you distribute the religions? How would you calculate their effects? That's just not doable.
Only option: Finish your game, and start a new one. Should not be a hard task for most players .
