The pleasant but discordant mingling of many voices rung in Valledia's ears. She had invited the top mages from all over Amuria to meet the archmages Thessa and Garrim Gyr. The two, though their nation's magick unadvanced, possesed great talent. The convention had many speakers, each educating the others in their area of magical expertise. Ermius had just finihsed speaking about optimizing fire magic, and now another mage came to the stand t explain the Principals of Summoning.
Normally, Valledia would have never thought of inviting foriengners to this horde of knowledge, but it would be necessary. She had made secret agreements with the Summer Court and Beeri Bawl to attack the madman. He had recently raised the soul of a dead Amurite mage, Firesoul. Firesoul becam a prophet, preaching the practice of necromancy, demon worshipping, and human sacrifice. This apalled the Amurites, who now called out for a holy crusade against Kylorin's fallen student.
Already, Amurite swords and spells gathered in border cities, hungry for clown blood. Valledia, though happy to give it to them, saw the prudence in preparing her future war allies for the coming onslaught. Thessa, though seemed aloof, was enjoying herself. She took notes in the elvish language, and the words were the most elegant Valledia had seen. Garrim Gyr on the other hand, was showing a small group of Udernarat adepts the theory behind Golem enchanting, and then demonstrating on a small mechanical man that could have fit in Valledia's palm. A man ran past Valledia with inhuman speed, and Remus' deep voice said, "And so with a simple application of The third law of magic and a small amount of Body mana, one can reach sppeds which could take one from Cevedes to Udernarat in one day." Valledia smiled to herself, thinking of the genius of calling this assmebly.
Valledia surveyed the antechamber where the many magicains were crowded. 'This is pure prgoress,' thought the Amurite Lady, 'All our mages working together. Kylorin would be proud.'
That night, a book that had belonged to Kylorin, which had always been blank became full of knowledge. 'Yes,' thought Valledia as she smiled, 'Somewhere he is watching his children.'
