Fall Further - Download and Current Changelog

Wow that would take me so long id rather wait for FfH to get upgraded to patch 3.19. Hope that doesnt take too long either

You have to uninstall BTS, install BTS, patch it to 3.17

This part is NOT true. You do NOT have to uninstall Civ
install Fall from Heaven 0.41a (actually you can just copy the folder), install Fall Further 50, then patch N, then FFplus, then FFplus patch D. Voila, you're done.

Just do this stuff. And it will be fine.

Think that's with relation to the 3.19 Patch for BtS, which would need BtS to be uninstalled as I understand it (no way to revert to 3.17 once it's installed and FF/FfH aren't compatible with 3.19... yet...)

Yeah if there was a way to delete the 3.19 patch and make it the original civ (I have tried by going to the patch folders under gold edition civ AND beyond the sword) but sadly it doesn't work that way.

Sucks for people like me with Steam. Steam auto-updated me to 3.19 and will just install that if I do a reinstall. So much for playing civ, hello a month or so of Prototype while fall gets working.

Ok, it won't help you now. But you should have known that before. Always disable autoupdates on any game you're heavily modding. I do it with Titan Quest.

OFF TOPIC: I love Titan Quest Immortal Throne and I have made through with two characters. Any good mods out there I should know about? I was hoping for a Titan Quest 2, but it looks like it won't happen.

Also Off Topic: No, I'd like to find new quests for mine, too. I can play through all the acts on Achilles mod hard, so now there's not much out there that challenges me for the game, which is a shame as the game is incredible.

I had to do a fresh install of bts / patch to 3.17 (not because of 3.19, but because I switched operating systems to windows xp), and now I don't seem to be getting any main menu text when I load FF 050 patch N. Am I overlooking something? I am running D2D civ IV, and BTS from a disk, but I don't think it's the 3.17 patch because FFH 040 patch z plays fine. Installing media pack didn't change anything, and I'm not sure what else to do. I know there are buttons there when I load FF because I can hear them when I click around, and exit the game by clicking in the lower left hand corner, but I can't see them.

Interesting, thanks WarKirby-- the CvAppInterface.py was missing from the fall further/assets/python/entrypoints folder, but copying in the one from the BTS folder still didn't produce a main menu. Something else I noticed after running FFSetup050 again was that if I don't leave 'create a desktop icon' checked, the installer does not set up any icons to load FF in the folder at all, any other ideas?

Hmm, maybe 'main menu' wasn't the right description of what I'm seeing when I try to load FF-- it's just like the problem described here: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=314758 with music running and everything, except just for FF (and FFplus) instead of for FFH. I tried what was suggested in that forum/ even going back and finding my original civ iv discs, and fresh installing it, manually patching to 1.74, then bts to 3.17 using civfanatics, FFH to 040z, and FF to N. As far as I can tell the language is English, but I'm not sure why that'd make a difference from FFH to FF. I also tried copying that missing python, cvappinterface.py, to the entrypoint folder for FF and FFH again, loading before and after and still the same result.. any other thoughts on what else could be missing in my going from FFH to FF that would cause this result? FFH is nice and all, but I'm really missing all the lizards and giants :)

Just started playing FF(?) FFHFF(?) FFHFurther for the first time, so I thought I'd give my first impressions feedback.

No technical problems with installing or playing so far, thank's Warkirby for your unofficial patch :goodjob:

Loving it, so much new stuff to discover, feeling like a FFH virgin again, or if you like, as someone branching out after years of missionary position. Playing on large tectonics, 30% with normal speed and I have the feeling the exploration phase of the game is a wee bit longer than in the original FFH, I like that.

Great person popups are sweet.

I started with the undead civ, who's name eludes me at the moment, with the non agnostic female leader. Great mechanics, although I haven't found out yet what exactly produces the random settlers for them. Is the percentage in the upper left the %chance per turn for one to pop? From the description I guess it depends on luxury and health ressources but even after reading in the wiki I am not exactly sure how to influence my "growth".
After hours of play, and many restarts, I finally settled for a three city starting empire with a capitol focusing on production so I can manually produce the settlers. But perhaps I am better of to rush headless troops and charge into my Lanun neighbor to "convince" him to join my empire. He seems to have a lot of warriors there and i have bronze and the undead phalanx troops, not so many though but it might work...

Well I am loving it, it's cocaine in a can, baby. Crack made from crack.

By the mana info? Yep.

Most luxuries. The Scion Gaining Population entry in the "Concepts" area of the Civlopedia has the list. IIRC it's up to date and has all the relevant info.

While Health resources don't alter growth they help production with Necropolis, and help prevent "Unhealthy Discontent" penalties.

How goes the progress on the 3.19 variant? I need my fix but can't install 3.17 (yay steam)

Damnit, wasn't quite quick enough to get the compilation done before I have to head out for the night, so I won't be able to finish till I am back home tomorrow night (probably not till after Monday so I can rest up after the drive). Some minor errors in compiling which I didn't catch in merging, one of them was that Firaxis wrote a CvUnit::getGroupSize() function, and Kael already had one. I cobbled them together, but we'll have to see if it behaves well with the promotions that can alter it, I think that they should.

Don't try to find that post, by the way. This text is irrelevant and used only to fill the minimum char limit which I find is a rather silly concept anyways.
