Fallout: New Vegas UI improvement?

You shouldn't have to mod the game to make it enjoyable.

Honestly, you really should. Really I'm so used to playing games from Paradox that scream to be modded. Any Bethesda game is the same.

They don't release the modding tools that they do so you can not mod it. And if they didn't like what they brought to the table, they wouldn't have built half of FWE into NV.

I'm also going to go back on my old statement and ask you: "Have you ever actually played New Vegas?" because there is a LOT more content for you to explore in New Vegas than in 3.

Indeed I have. There might, might be more locations on the map, but few of them require exploring. And they are significantly less dangerous than Fallout 3 areas, since you can see, and deal with, every piece of danger from 12 miles away.

Been exploring the Northwest part of the map, that was fairly interesting. Working on main quest right now in Washington monument. The mutants don't pose much challenge at level 10.

One part of FO3 I really dislike is the radio. The sound quality of the songs on Galaxy News radio is horrible. They might be decent songs, but I can't stand listening to music that doesn't have halfway decent sound quality. As for FNV, I grew to like most of those songs. All 3 radio stations (the Black Mountain one is pretty funny) are pretty decent.

The one thing I prefer about Fallout 3 over New Vegas is actually the radio station. :p I don't really like Mr. New Vegas (hearing about a courier being shot in the head right as I'm about to liberate Vegas is a tad annoying..)
Isn't there a quest for 3 Dog that actually improves the quality of Galaxy New's radio?

yeah but the songs still sound like they are from an old record (most likely because the songs are from an old record). It may be more realistic, but the songs sound like crap. The only decent time to listen is when 3 dog is talking. But I still prefer Mr. New Vegas. His updates on the situation are better, although it is annoying hearing the same ones over and over I admit. And every single song he plays, he says is his favorite. :)

Have you fixed the broadcast tower yet? Before you do that, I think the game adds noise to the music. I'm pretty sure the base music files are of surprisingly high quality. The various GNR mods are huge.

:p

I'm pretty sure it wasn't in the original game, and instead was added in GNR Enhanced, but this was always my favorite during running gun fights:

Seriously, a vacuum cleaner inside of a mailbox? Still playing my FO3 game, and decided to look in some mailboxes. How can you fit a vacuum cleaner in a mailbox?

I think FNV fixed this, and you could only find small things in mailboxes. The only thing I ever picked up was magazines.

I do love Radio New Vegas. When I was going through mods to use for my current playthrough, I downloaded 2 radio station mods, CONELRAD 640-1240 and Wave Radio. I really like CONELRAD, the songs feel fitting and are generally good (personally I think Radiation Baby is pretty bad, but in a very good way). Wave Radio, on the other hand, I didn't enjoy as much. I didn't find the songs as catchy, and overall preferred CONELRAD.

One thing I really like is that CONELRAD can still be listened to in the DLC areas.

Well, the in-game model of a vacuum cleaner is "just" small enough to fit in a mailbox, but it would be a tight squeeze. Now, if the suction hose was attached, then it definitely wouldn't fit.
