I am trying for a fast diplo victory on King difficulty. This is from the wiki:
"The World Congress becomes the United Nations once any Civilization reaches the Information Era or at least half of the world's Civilizations reach the Atomic Era."
I know that some players achieved a very fast victory on deity but strange things happen on deity. The advantages that the AI has, helps the computer players to get to the atomic era very fast and the only thing you have to do is win the vote. Not so on King! If you wait for the computer players to get to the atomic era you will make it in more than 350 turns. Therefore you have to get to the info era yourself. This means you have to invest in science as well as in diplomacy.
My best score up to now is 318 turns which is not so bad as it looks. That was with Alexander (I love this guy). Now I am playing Casimir. I managed to get to the info area a bit earlier but I doubt I will win the vote the first time.
Anyone who cares to try it?
It's standard map, standard settings, not pangea and you can choose any race. Btw I tried Babylon a couple times but with poor results. I wonder which civ would be best.. Feel free to use exploits (I don't) but tell us about them.
I wonder if someone can do it in less than 250.
