How odd that the Mayans asked for help in this war considering they started this war.

On a side note, fast game doesn't work. Did someone perhaps load the game with 1.22 version? I have contacted Kaboth asking him to replay his turn.

I loaded it with 1.20 version last time through, because I played several other 1.20 pbems at the same time period.
I'm glad the Sumerians are being left out of this brawl! (Thus far).

Hmmm...My diplomats cruising your shores inform me the Spaniards are ripping you a new arsehole. (Of course, they've been on a 1000 year long voyage, so their opinions may be a bit "off"!)

Yes I may have attacked the Spanish a little pre-emptively; they have a lot of ancient calvalry but I will beat them back eventually. Computer can't fight a war of attrition. Plus I have tones of land I plundered from the now extinct Russians.

The only human I've met is RJ. EliitMees seems weak, how come?

Anyway I'm just having my second war with the spanish, I'm on about equal footing with them now in military strength. Wish I could get some saltpeter for cavs though. Knights are such a ripoff in shields but med infantry have a bad upgrade path.

Actually, Dogboy simply obliterated the Maya a few centuries back and nearly doubled his kindom's size. (I helped a little). Since then, we have been nervously eyeing each other over muskets and Pikes along a long frontier that is mostly desert. Probably all hell will break loose once Cavalry comes on the scene. Both of us are staying in Monarchy, as it is too risky to go to Republic (as you did) with a potentially huge/lengthy war looming with a human opponent.

Eliitmees had a pretty poor starting position. All his possible expansion territory was mostly jungle and mountains. Civaddict has been trying to compensate by settling a bunch of Northern islands, and has increased his territory a decent amount. He hasn't had his Golden Age yet though, while Dogboy and I already had ours.

As in any 3-way standoff, times are nervous. Maybe we should form an alliance and come over there to pound you out of your Republican government???

Ya, poor EliitMees did have a rough starting position. I think the only hope that Civaddict will have now is when RJ decides to start a war with me and the Mongols can jump on the winning side.

As for me killing the Mayans, I want to make it perfectly clear I did not start that war. They demanded tribute, I refused, they attacked me. Then to make matters worse they bought the Mayans off to attack me which they did. After one brief skirmish in which I invaded the Mongols to prevent them from attacking me, they wisely made peace with me. Actually, it was unwise as the Mongols could have crushed me but I didn't tell him that at the time

As for a 3 way alliance to go kill the guys on the other side of the world...sounds good to me. Sort of like a west coast-east coast thing?
