Favorite Civic

Greetings...

Can anyone tell me or point me to a previous thread...what is the meaning of the favorite civic aspect of each leader's qualities? I understand if you switch to another CIV's favorite, you gain some points with that leader...but what does it do specifically for your own CIV if you switch to your CIV's favorite civic?? Thanks for the help in advance!

it also gives rival civs varying civic choices rather than them all choosing the same ones whilst also reflecting what they did in real history

I agree, it should give you an edge when choosing your own favorite civic.
