Anyway, I don't watch it, in fact, I don't watch much anymore except news, the History Channel, Discovery Channel, TLC and the Weather Channel.

I don't mind friends, it's a simple sitcom that can take care of a half-hour when it's on. I don't think I ever watched a series when it was first aired, I always managed to catch up from the endless repeats on C4.

I'll vote Chandler, but I agree that it needed all characters equally...kinda the point really.

I've only recently starting watching Friends, when E4 went Freeview.
But I have to say, Chandler rocks! He's so funny, and witty.
I also like Joey.

I like friends. Rachael is best to look at, and i would say chandler is the best character. Its overrated sure, just like the simpsons, soprano's, family guy and many other shows on at the moment.

Yep, it did last 10 series which is pretty impressive and probably the main reason why people think it isn't funny.

Can't really say that I have a favourite character though.

Chandler Bing. I used to like Monica at the very beginning of the show but in the end she annoyed me. At the opposite, I wasn't seduced by Joey and Phoebe at the beginning of the show because the characters were too much charicatural... it's only with time I really appreciated them.

But anyway, to sum this up, the casting of the show was brilliant and the 6 main characters well chosen. I think the characters made a lot in the success of the show.

Jennifer Aniston is quite a looker. I don't think many people here can deny that and be telling the truth.

Of course (almost) all of them looked like idiots. That's why it is funny. Same as Hommer Simpson, Peter Griffin (sp?) or George Constanza. That's why people think they are funny, because they do stupid things. It is an easy way to make people laugh.

Plus, you learn things, like what to do if you get bitten by a Jellyfish.

Friends is really over rated, some are good but not to the level people elevate it to. Seinfeld is easily 1,000 times better. If I had to choose I would choose Chandler.
