Oops, Forgot To Post A Poll! It's Been A While Since I've Last Posted Here And I Completely Forgot!

Company of Heroes.

Mainly because of the features like directional cover, tanks taking damage depending on where they are hit and because it's very well balanced. Then there is the fact that Priest Overwatch rounds look really cool.

Whoops I didn't see the other thread with a poll in it.

Who needs Starcraft when you've got Total Annihilation, or for that matter, Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne? (Which in my opinion beats out any edition of Warhammer 40000 by a longshot.)

Because(and this is pretty sad) startcraft is still one of the best RTSs in existance?

Me : Age of Empires I is my best souvenir and i hope that EEIII has a taste of it...

You got pissed off at me for doing that, so you can't tell me to "have my own opinion". What you mean to say is "your opinion sucks" and that could be considered wrong to people who know what they're talking about.

I've never played Starcraft to be honest, I'll probably get the second one though.

And yes, TA was amazing when it came out. Not too sure about Supreme Commander though, or whatever that sequal was called (released recently)

Starcraft, but I've played an awful lot of CNC3 and BFME2:ROTWK in the past few years.

Oh, you mean the expansion? That was called Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance.

Act of War: High Treason.

The graphics are very realistic, the balance is good, I like the technology trees and also I like how that when a tank shoots at a soldier, the soldier loses a lot of health (unlike C&C where a tank shell causes as much damage as a basic infantry does to a tank)

Oh and there's more promotions. You go with one chevron, then two, then three, then three chevrons with a bar under it and then a star, which makes it a super unit and has a promotion radius for any units around it (they go up a rank, but only in that radius. Lose that rank if out of radius and it cannot go up to star and I think chevrons with a bar isn't allowed either)

Plus if I had multiplayer, I could build ships and kick butt!

I think Act of War: Direct Action and the expansion High Treason are very good games. I liked how Direct Action had a complicated medical system. If an infantry needed to be healed, you needed to call in a Blackhawk (United States Army or Task Force Talon) or a BMM-1 Medvac BTR-80 (Consortium) and it would pick up the soldiers and dump them at the nearest hospital building where they get healed. Task Force Talon also had the Nanowave healing centre which you spent $250 and instanly soldiers on the field get healed (depending on unit, depends how fast they heal. A SHIELD can be fixed by vehicles or nanowaves but slowly)

Task Force Talon (TFT) and the Consortium (CS) had a repair unit. TFT used a vehicle which deployed a radius heal while CS used the V-22 which had to land and it would heal. The US Army had to call in a helicopter which would pick up the unit, take it back to a repair pad where it would be fixed and you had to drive it back to battle.

Now that was complicated and I quite enjoyed it. Sadly, in High Treason, they removed it and made it simpler so that the Blackhawk can heal in a radius when landed (short burst though, needed to recharge) and TFT used only the nanowave and CS used the BMM-1. No taking back to hospital Just repairs or heals on the field with respective vehicles.

Yeah, the game is just great. With lines like "This is a buggy!" or "You pay, I obey" or "Soldiers onboard, exchanging fire with the enemy" it makes the game just great. Too bad you don't hear about it a lot. I didn't hear about it until I saw it on the Wikipedia under See Also for Command & Conquer Generals. Who knew such awesome was right under my nose?

There are other awesome features as well, like airstrikes or helicopters, but I think you should see it for yourself. Building physics are also better, although I think carpet bombing one should cause more damage, even if it hits the roof (which infantry can get onto if they have to as buildings can only hold 8 troops. A roof can support vehicles if you find a way to put them there)
