My favorite very minor character is probably Senor Ding-Dong, the owner and mascot of the store where Marge and Lisa buy the doorbell that won't shut up.
Lisa: I thought you were just a marketing gimmick.
SDD: There was a time when that was true. Now, I am so much more!
(He hits the doorbell with his whip. It stops playing. Everyone cheers.)
