Mine is Joao's early diplo music. I think it's beautiful and haunting. Does anyone know where it's from or what it's based on?

João II certainly is great. I also like Sitting Bull's and especially Gilgamesh's. I think the Sumeria and Portuguese music is best. I could listen for hours to Gilgamesh's 'middle ages' music.
I usually play Willem van Orange, but his music is also brilliant, especially his early music, very uplifting and fun. When I hear it at the beginning of the game, I sometimes don't want to click 'start'. :D

I was going to say Willem is great too yes.

Justinians music for me, although I haven't heard them all yet.

haven't heard all of them but joao's ancient guitar tune is absolutely amazing.

I haven't heard all either. I really like Zara Yaqob's, especially the early variety. Don't think much of the guy himself, though.

I like Willem's, Joao's and Justinian's the most.

Also, while not new, the old Brennus' diplo music seems to be working great for Boudica.

Gilgamesh, Justinian and João (the late variety all around). The first thing I did when the game was installed was actually go to the music folders and listen to the new diplomacy tunes :crazyeye:

Good idea to look through the diplomacy folders. I really like Hammurabi's late tune with the horns. Looks like one or two of the old leaders have had a remix too.

Not sure on my favourite, I like Justinian's early tune though. However, I do know the most horrible music:

Willem late. I have very nasty associations with that song, and it has made me decide to always play as the Dutch (therefore avoiding having to hear the late music), or destroy them before this music gets used.

"There's a circus coming to town!! Weeeeee!"

Oh... bummer, it's just the Dutch ruler apfft!

Edit(2): Charlemagne's music is also nice, especially late.

Is there now another diplo music with vocals apart from the Celtic ?

@GoodSarmatian
No, but 3 for America :)
(I know it from demo, BtS needs one more week to arrive Taiwan...)

EDIT:Sorry, seems I didn't see 'with vocals apart from' :)

What about Shaka and Rangar?

Anyway, in BtS there's Justinian and Sitting Bull. Justinian's music is almost entirely vocal.

I forgot abuot Shaka and Ragnar. We never had much to say to each other :mischief: and I like Brennus music much more.

I like Pacal's medieval music, although all of the new music is good, a nice change.

Yeah.. I could sit in negotiations with Brennus (and now also Boudica) for hours on end :)

I like modern Dutch music. It captures the essence of modern Dutch as "merry people high on pot" imo. :p

Am I the only one who really loves Charlemagne's music? I even talk to him sometimes just to hear it.

Charlemagne's music is nice, but Justinian's music is just awesone.
It's like attending a mass in the Hagia Sofia.
I also like Gilgamesh. Cool music and cool animation.
