Feature Transfer Error on install

All,

I get the following error on install immediately after the "Scanning for Direct X Components..." screen:


Title: Feature transfer error
Feature: DefaultFeature
Component:
File:
Error: Catastrophic Failure

at which point the setup crashes. I've found the same error for vanilla CivIV on the forums, but not for BTS. The solution for vanilla seems to be to return the discs and get new ones... I was curious to find out if anyone had experienced this error for BTS, and how they resolved it, before I return the disks myself.

I think this is actually an installshield error. TRy the solution listed here (ignoring that this is for F.E.A.R.)

Unfortunately none of the ideas on that thread worked... I also get an error when I try to copy an image of the cd onto my hdd; I think this gives more credence to the possibility that I have a bad cd. I'll fool around with it for a few more hours, and then see if I can exchange it for a new copy. Thanks for the recommendation, though.
