I don't know where else to put this kind of stuff. It's feedback I'd like the staff to be aware of. If there is an already started thread for this please make me know. This is stuff I collect from my recent games, in no particular order:

1- Hell Terrain doesn't seem to spread to Tundra and Ice.
2- Amurites really like mana nodes. They do build cities even far away from their homeland just to pick up another mana node.
3- The AI now seems to understand how to "terraform" with Spring. I've seen it changing deserts into plains tiles to be able to take irrigation from a lake to an otherwise arid land.
4- New Diplomacy (this was asked by Kael): it's not making a great difference to me currently. It's really just an impression though, not based on any real/statistic data.
5a- The AI likes to have double manas (I know you know this... read "Affinity").
5b- Amurites will generally not trade their double mana if you don't provide at least 10 surplus resources plus all your GPT ^_^.

nothing else comes to my mind for now...

I wish there were Hell versions of tundra and ice. It it by design that there aren't?

I would hope that Tundra would become Frozen Wastes
and Ice would become Dark Glaciers.

The Frozen Wastes would be inaccessible by units without Ice qualities, as would Dark Glaciers. But Dark Glaciers would also be inaccessible without entropy qualities. (Workers may enter either, but suffer 10% damage per turn spent in Frozen Wastes, and 20% damage per turn in Dark Glaciers - can die from damage done)

Each would spawn (or be home to) various deep, mysterious and powerful beasts and monsters. (Barbarian uber-beasties)

Ice Wyrm Cavern - [strategic resource] found in Frozen Wastes.
Spawns (at random) barbarian Ice Wyrms (very rarely). If "captured" counts as a strategic resource, so that Ice Wyrms may be trained in cities with a hunting lodge in it.

Frost Wasp Hive - [luxury resource] found in frozen wastes.
Spawns (randomly) Barbarian Frost Wasps (often). If "captured" counts as a luxury resource. (The frost wasp hive comb makes for excellent jewelry material)

Darksteel Gorge - [strategic resource] found in Dark Glaciers.
Spawns (randomly) Barbarian Darksteel Fiends (rarely). If "captured" counts as
a strategic metal resource. All upgradable units get +2 entropy str.

Shadowshard Formations - [strategic & luxury resource] found in Dark Glaciers.
Spawns (randomly) Barbarian Shadowshard Demons (occasionally). If "captured" counts as a strategic and luxury resource. Allowing the Shadowshard Golem to be constructed by cities with a golem workshop.

Creature Ideas:

Ice Wyrm: Large uber slow, but uber powerful unit. May not enter deserts or jungles (or their hell equivalents.) Powerful attack and defence. Standard physical and some "ice" str. No special qualities.

Frost Wasps: Very fast "horde" unit. Decent Attack, lower defense. Physical and Ice. Units attacked by (but not killed by) frost wasps lose a point of movement until fully healed. (via promotion?)

Darksteel Fiends: Demonic Unit. Decent attack and defense. Physical, Ice and Entropy. +50% against Melee and Cavalry.

Shadowshard Demons: Demonic Unit. Decent attack, High Defense. Physical, Ice and Entropy. +50% against living units.

Shadowshard Golem: Golem Unit. Decent attack, Decent Defense. Physical.
Has Entropy and Ice Affinities: 2.

Well that effect isn't going to be included for a while because negative healing is going to actually be taken out. :cringe:

I wonder how all the other lairs that you just proposed could be included, maybe just randomly appear after hellfire? Or maybe the Illians should be the ones to release these things!

It's not by design, we just dont have the art for them yet.
