Female Celebrities and Supermodels. Are they really that hot?

IS the attractiveness of female celebrites and supermodels overrated?

Yeah, with the amount of airbrushing they might as well be animes.
That is the problem. You do not know exactly what is the woman and what is from the computer. I think that most women with airbrushing would look good, which is generally how most celebs do it, which is a disturbing trend. I remember a thread by Rambuchan about it and generally if you are a good enough photographer then airbrushing a photo is not needed.

A lot of what attracts us to women is their attitude and position.

Some of the most physically beautiful women I have seen are not famous. Most famous people are as normal as the rest of us, just presented nicer (you know they have people help them dress up when they do the public thing, so that is not surprising). Being famous is almost by definition overrated, but I see a few that really are that hot.

I am attracted to women like Jennifer Aniston exactly because they look so normal and seem like they would be nice in real life. I agree, Pam Anderson turns me off too but mostly because she acts like trash alot and doesn't look that healthy any more.

Pam Anderson is the most overrated ever.

Other than that I would say most of them actually are really that hot. However I have seen pictures of celebrities where they do not look hot at all. Like in the recent issue of Newsweek Lindsay Lohan who was blazing hot in Mean Girls looks average at best in her photo there.

Many are. Some are actually hot, but a lot are not. I think Angelina Jolie, for instance, is actually not very attractive at all - there are several girls that I know in real life that I think are much prettier. In my view, if you aren't pretty without tons of makeup and photoshopping, then you aren't really pretty at all. And in my book, if I can tell that you're wearing makeup, and I have a good idea of where and how much within 5 seconds of looking at you, then you're wearing too much.

In general, we tend to like what we're familiar with. This is why we often prefer the girls we know to any magazine-sourced women.

That's the thing though, I'm sure if we actually got to know the girls in the magazines personally, we'd find many of them to be perfectly amicable. We may even fall in love with them. Or they might be totally mean horrible people. But then ugly girls can be mean and horrible too. Point is, if you like a girl's personality, they start looking more attractive, which is why I think we find girls we know more attractive than we would otherwise give them credit for.

Am I the only one who thinks the attractiveness of female celebrities and supermodels is overrated? I'm talking about people like Pamala Anderson, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, girls on magizine covers, and so on.

I think their not really that hot, they all look very generic and normal and have nothing special to hook you. Or at least that's what I think. Also I know people say everybody looks best in their twentys and sometimes early thirties, but honestly I'm a lot more attracted to girls my own age.

Note: Think in genral terms. My examples are nothing more than examples.

Those women are pretty hot, but I run into hotter chicks in real life, so it's not like celebrities have the market cornered on good looks.

Jessica Biel is perfection (not the CFC poster, who is marginally less sexually attractive to men) incarnate. In fact, I've taken rating all other women when compared to her on a scale of 1 to 10.
