FfH2 0.16 Cosmetic Thread

Can you turn down the flame effect on the Meshaber of Dis? It's just way too bright, I can't see anything on the screen for several squares around him and honestly- all that flashing is just a bit too much it gives me a headache. Good thing I'm not epileptic!!

Here's a suggestion- maybe a smaller effect when he's wandering around the map that flares up to the current size when he's attacking or defending!

The Civilopedia text states, in the last sentence: "Immortals require Mithril to train." The Doviello version does not require any metal to train, and the other versions require Iron or Mithril.

Note that Infernal Lord and Elven Immortal are also using this text (incorrectly - same issue).

Fixed, thanks.

In the Poisons pedia text assassin is incorrectly written as assasin when referring to the person who spoke the tech quote.

Fixed, thanks.

There are two such entries in CIV4GameText_FFH2.xml; the first one is incorrect.

<English>Golems are more expensive and less powerful than the Tier 4 units you are capable of building at the same time. They are also incapable of leveling or learning new promotions. So why use them? Unlike all of the other Tier 4 units they aren't limited in the quantity that can be made. Large civilizations that have already made their limit of the other Tier 4 units would do well to bolster their forces with Golems. Iron golems require Iron and a Tower to be built. They are the most powerful, and most expensive, of the Golems.</English>

First one removed, thanks.

Ogre has the promotion Orcish. However, Stoneskin Ogre and Ogre Warchief do not.

I would assume that all the Ogres should or should not have this promotion.

Fixed, thanks.

Philosophy allows building of temple which is cosmetic issue and probably confusing new players, as there are other techs for temples (Fix in SpecialBuildingInfos.xml IIRC)

Sidar (?) palace gives milion happines from other nations palace- it is because it was set to give more yieds from Great Merchant, Scientist and Engineer UNITS instead from respective SPECIALISTS

Sanitation allows scrubbing fallout but workers can't really scrub falout so I suppose it should be removed to avoid confusion.

This hint refers to the civic "Free Religion", which no longer exists. I'd remove the second sentence.

As a note, the Kraken is a Beast Unit. As a beast unit, it can gain Woodsman I or Guerilla I (as examples of promotions it cannot use). This may be confusing to players who are new to the game.

This text claims: "a giant spider is ...as strong as a giant". Since its strength is 4, and a Hill Giant's is 6, this appears inaccurate.

The last sentence reads:
"The frigate remained the most useful and dominant naval vessel until the development of the Queen of the Sea."

I'd strike or re-write this sentence. I think that the unit that's being referred to is now called "Queen of the Line", and that unit is no longer a military juggernaut; it's essentially a nice transport ship.

"... and has a decent base strength to back them up"

While this is true, it's also irrelevant; the strength of the flesh golem is the average strength of the two creatures that create the flesh golem.

Their Civilopedia entry is TXT_KEY_UNIT_AXEMAN_PEDIA. TXT_KEY_UNIT_ELVEN_SWORDSMAN_PEDIA would be more accurate.
