FfH2 0.20 Bug Thread

I'm not sure if this would go here or in graphics, but i found a bug in the civilopedia...

There is a text error in the following entries...

Yeah there are tons of cosmetic errors liek that. They aren't being addressed right now, we will get to those later.
 
Don't know if this is wad, but:

Playing as Lanun (Falamar) patch a, some unknown civ founded Ashen veil & I got what must be Hyborem's pop-up. Quickly started building mercurian gate on general principles (despite being OO...) Got to within 4 turns of completion & got a pop up which I guess is Hyborem saying goodbye world. Mercurian gate project then cancelled with no refund.

I can see the logic if Basium is only there to fight Hyborem, but the ashen veil civ is still out there somewhere...and the armageddon counter creeps upwards...the people cry out for a champion of Good...
 
I had a ton of Python errors in my recent game as well. They seemed to appear as the Armageddon Counter was dropping fairly rapidly, and I'm guessing they must signify text popups messing up..? I dunno to what extent they're related to the previously mentioned Python errors.

Also: I noticed that, at the point where all of the fallen heroes are ressurected and given to the Barbarian faction (Armageddon Counter 90, I think?), I noticed Hyborem was one of the re-arisen. I dunno if this is intended.

Thats prpbably the same issue Teg fixed.

LOL i would of just used my heavenly world builder to find out who would do such evil things like discover ashen viel.
 
I just noticed the asylum gives +1 Great prophet points per turn. Shouldnt it be Great scientist points?? :confused:
 
20b and was still in war with the barbarians when I switched to Hyborem.

Sorry, I cut out the function that used to handle that. I'll fix it in patch "c".
 
Also, I noticed a few non-cosmetic changes that didn't make it into the Change Log.

  • Axemen/etc. have +10% City Attack instead of a bonus vs. Melee. *approval*
  • Orcs have +25% vs Fire Damage
  • Dwarves have +25% vs Poison Damage
  • Elves have -25% vs Cold Damage
I normally try to keep an accurate changelog here, largely so modders can look up what has changed. However, due to busyness in Real life (and the number of changes from 16 to 20), it could be a few weeks before it's fully up-to-date. It already covers a number of things which are not in the main changelog.
 
Patch "c" is up and linked in the first post. It fixes the following issues:

1. Pirate Coves no longer cause CtD's.
2. Hyborem no longer resurrects indefinitly.
3. Mercurian multiplayer CtD fixed.
4. Resolved GiftUnit error giving Manes to the Infernals.
5. Spells are now correctly marked as not alive (so they wont be effected by fear, turned into werewolves etc).
6. Fixed a giftunit error if the civ isn't allowed to have thos edisciples (fix by Teg Navanis).
7. Difficulty level will follow players that switch civilizations.
8. Hyborem starts at peace with the Barbarians.

It won't break save games.

Sureshot, could you let me know what happens when Hyborem and Basium appear and you switch to them in multiplayer games?
 
kael, patch "c" fixed the mercurion gate ctd in the hotseat game reported in post #104 in this thread. thanks

Just now I was playing as the elves. I noticed that when my elven swordman promoted with iron weapons upgraded to an assasin I realized that he kept the iron weapon promotion? :eek:

Hellfire creates units that are controlled by the Barbarian player, or the Infernal player if the Infernals are alive (FFHLairSpawn).
Whether or not a unit destroys Hellfire upon moving on it depends if they are at war with the barbarians (onUnitMove).

So it would seem that the Infernals can destroy hellfire if at war with the Barbarians, which is likely not desired behavior.
