FfH2 0.20 Bug Thread

I've played one game as the Sheaim, summoning Hyborem but not switching.

Issues:
  • Fireballs are affected by Fear. (Stinkin' cowards!)
  • My Beast of Agares only received 1 XP for killing Ars Moriendi.
  • Worked Mana Nodes destroyed by Fire (ie. Desert --> Burning Sands) are replaced by generic Mana when the Fire is put out. (Potential Exploit)
  • Automated Workers don't seem to change Pastures on Sheut Stone to Quarries after the terrain changed. They did rebuild Pastures when the terrain was Sanctified and the Cattle returned.

Also, I noticed a few non-cosmetic changes that didn't make it into the Change Log.

  • Axemen/etc. have +10% City Attack instead of a bonus vs. Melee. *approval*
  • Orcs have +25% vs Fire Damage
  • Dwarves have +25% vs Poison Damage
  • Elves have -25% vs Cold Damage

Also, since there doesn't appear to be a Cosmetics thread:
When a worked Sheep/Pasture tile turned into Toads, the Toads kept the sheep model, but a sort of magenta color. I was under the impression the Toads graphics were working.

Did he alredy have lots of exp ? I think that when you alredy have alot, the benefit is smaller (for all gains of exp, to a minimum of 1).

Maybe this is a vanilla thing, but Great Priests can always perform all of their actions multiple times. That is, if you hold down shift while you select the choices, you can queue all of them, multiple times for discover tech and join city.

my lord, i thought it was bad that you could do all the options when i read this, but you can queue up unlimited tech discovers and discover every tech with one great person O_O
 
just played a multiplayer game

one person discovered Ashen Veil and was able to relog and come back as hyborem with no problems

i then built the mercurian gate as the elohim, and it CTD'd, then when i tried to join as my former civ or as the mercurians it CTD'd.. i was able to relog as the grigori and it didn't CTD until we hit next turn, at which point it CTD'd again.

Okay, it should be fixed in patch "c". I switched Basium to the same method that Hyborem uses (now we just have to figure out how to keep all th active players from switching to him when there is a reassignment).

And no one ever realised that until now.... o.o

It must be fixed in some way, else I will be way too compeled to use it everytime I fall behind.... =X
 
Kael, I hate to "bug" you while you're busy with the new build, but did you do something different with the unit flags ?

I've always had to apply the "flag fix" in all the previous versions, this time some of 'em are colored (barbs & whoever's red) & the rest are white.

I assume that the old fix won't work, so could we have a new one?

Thats not a bug, but it does need to be addressed. Im going to give Hyborem a spell to create his own area if he cant found a city in a certain amount of turns.

Oh, okay. Would a concern such as that be better placed in the balance thread then? Not sure where it belongs.
 
When you build a city on a generic mana node the node is destroyed. Maybe nodes should be flagged as unbuildable. Not sure if this affects non generic nodes. The ai will really be hurt by this.

Fireballs will be fixed in patch "c".
The only reason I can think that you only got 1 xp for killing Ars is if your Beast already had 100xp (i see from your later posts that he didnt have 100, ill check it out)
I cant reproduce the mana node issue.
I cant produce the sheut stone problem, is it possible you didnt have masonry?

Yeah, I try to get major changes into the changelog. There are hundreds, if not thousands of minor changes.

Im not noticing this eather, my toads look fine. Is anyone else having a problem with this?

one cosmetic issue that would be nice to solve would be the civ colour.. its always weird to see hyborem show up as white or pink or yellow, ive looked at the colour files and it seems like itd be easy to create new shades of things for different leaders, so that none are doubled up on 2 civs

There shouldn't be any civs that share a color.
 
I had a ton of Python errors in my recent game as well. They seemed to appear as the Armageddon Counter was dropping fairly rapidly, and I'm guessing they must signify text popups messing up..? I dunno to what extent they're related to the previously mentioned Python errors.

Also: I noticed that, at the point where all of the fallen heroes are ressurected and given to the Barbarian faction (Armageddon Counter 90, I think?), I noticed Hyborem was one of the re-arisen. I dunno if this is intended.
