FfH2 0.20 Bug Thread

I downloaded what I thought was a white flag fix for .20 but it didn't work... Is there an updated fix for the white flag problem?

Great update, btw. I LOVE all of the new strategies that come about due to the new stuff. I actually had to use my settlers to clear-cut some forests to prevent a fire from spreading to my valuable forests, that was so cool!

Is it intentional that when Veil and Overlord priests found temples that they're reborn as demons? That's what's happening...

Are there any different versions of patch F around? Because I installed the main program and patch f, but I can not see games for multiplayer to connect to other players. I did not install any patches before f, I don't know if that matters. Any ideas? Everything installs into the proper directory from what I can see. If I didn't do anything wrong, well that would seem like a bug to me.

Is there a specific reason why the Code of Junil wonder gives great engineer points? I would have thought it would give prophet points considering the nature of the Order.

Well, I tried patch "f". That didn't work.

So I deleted the FfH2.0 folder and re-installed 2.0 unpatched. That did work. I was able to generate a new game w/o the PC freezing.

So I patched to "f" again. After the patch, the PC freezes again. So it does not seem to be a matter of a corrupt download. Something changed between patch "c" and "d" (and subsequently "f") that freezes my PC.

I had occasional freezeups with older versions, but only after extensive play. Reboots or just exiting to desktop and reloading cleared it up. That was with only 512MB RAM, so I assume it was related to memory.

The lockups with the recent 2.0 patches are different. It freezes right at the start, and sometimes I have to yank out the power cord.

Pentium(r) 4 3.00GHz, 1.50G RAM, vid GE 7900GS w/256MB.

If there is more info I can supply, please feel free to ask.

Try turning off the hitpoint bar option.....that made games crash.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I have never had that option turned on.

OK, i'm not sure whether those are bugs or not, but i noticed that :
  1. Ashen veil gives +1 culture in non-holy cities instead of +1 research
  2. Burning sands can't be converted to fields of perdition with "spring" even thought fields can be converted to burning sands with "scorch"

Installed patch f playing as Khazad and on first turn i get Kuriotates just two tiles away from my capital.
Game settings: Pangea, Huge, 16 civs, Temperate climate, medium sea level.

This is a picture taken shortly after I noticed that fire had moved into my region as well as that of Cassiel's. As you can see the Armagedden counter is only at 14 so the fires should not be spreading anywhere. From everything I have read this appears to be a bug. I assume that there is no way to remove the fire now that its arrived; help:confused:

No, fire is something else than Hell. The hell spreading is controlled by the AC. Fire can be started by every one and it is spreading via forests and jungles. Spring puts it out in nearby titles.

No, you see fire. Look at the first post in the Fire developer Diary thread. There are some screen shoots that show you how hell terrain looks like. Fire is only a forest fire, that is all. All your forests will burn down and nothing will happen[it may damage your units].

Hell is spawned by Hyborem civilisation. When it is present it will spread accordingly to the AC.

I think these are bugs:

Basium can't build Druids, but can build grove.

When Basium gains the ability to build Crusaders(Fanaticism), can't build warriors anymore. I noticed this in a game with the lanun too, when they gained Boarding Party.

The white flag fix doesn't work, though some civs are still not affected from the jump, seems that Barbs & infernals are correct.
