FfH2 0.21 Bug Thread

Not really a bug as much as a curiosity. Played the Sheaim tonight, Prince difficulty, normal speed, huge map, 16 civs. I had built the Planar Gate in the year 117 in my capitol, which had a carnival and a mage guild. By the year 200 when I stopped for the night it had produced only 1 mobius witch and 1 chaos maurarder. I built a second Planar gate with just a carnival in the year 190 and by year 200 it had produced nothing. Is it normal for it to produce this little? I was very disappointed in how little it had churned out.

How high was the AC, that might affect how often things come out..

since downloading and using 021c I have noticed that it takes more time between turns, also noticed that randon generator seems to be putting down more barrows and ruins than normal. is anyone else experiencing either of these?

Yes, i have defiantely noticed that more barrows and ruins have been put down lately, not sure if this started in 020 or 021. they also seem to be clumped more, i.e. 3-5 of them will be placed in one section, all with just 1 or 2 empty hexes between them.

I think the game slowdown you are seeing may be caused by the shear numbers of skeletons and lizardmen you are seeing on the map. I have seen multiple stacks of 10-16 skeletons and lizardmen starting to come around turn 90/100 on normal speed and when this happens my computer slows down to around60-90 seconds between turns until I can eventually kill them off.

Also as I stated in post #57 the barbarian lizardmen rarely venture inside my cultural borders anymore and never attack my cities. At the end of 016(light) they would swarm at my cities and attack relentlessly, now they just build and wander at the edge of my borders and occassionally pick off a stray worker or scout that may come to close to them.

when I first built(yr 117) my planar gate the AC was at 1, in the year 200 when I saved for the night, the AC was at 6.

Didn't see this mentioned anywhere...

The Sanctify spell used on city ruins to decrease the Counter still isn't working. Tried it several times and no dice.

It does, just that the lowering the true count by one will not necessarily mean a display change if there are more than four players.

I'm Korean FFH2 User. Please understand my english level. :)

Some user in my Korean Civ community found that is next Upgrade of Luchuip's Dwarven Warrier is Archer in Civilopedia, and I found same info in Civ4UnitInfos.xml file.

line 81018...
<UnitClassUpgrade>
<UnitClassUpgradeType>UNITCLASS_ARCHER</UnitClassUpgradeType>
<bUnitClassUpgrade>1</bUnitClassUpgrade>
</UnitClassUpgrade>

I think that upaged of Luchuip's Dwarven Warrier is wood golem.
Is this really Bug?? ^^

Note that although this is hidden from the Civilopedia, there are two dwarven warriors; the wiki distinguishes them as Dwarven Warrior (Khazad) and Dwarven Warrior (Luchuirp) Note that one of them (the Khazad version) has two possible upgrade paths: Dwarven Soldier and Dwarven Slinger. The Luchuirp version only has the Dwarven Slinger as an upgrade.

Note that the Civilopedia does not have either unit display on its main screen, although you can still access them through the respective civilization screens. When you do so, both are accurate.

I'd suggest that if there is a defect here, it's that neither of these are listed in the Civilopedia main unit screen.

This may be deliberate, but Water Elemental does no Cold Damage. This means that it can't put out fires.

This could be a problem, I'm not exactly sure what happened, but Cardith Loda just finished building the Baron and now he has three of them. I would add the save, but it is bigger then 500KB.

On a similar note, Kuriotates Scouts are not upgradable to Centaurs, but the Civilopedia says they are.

Thank you xanaqui42 for the update on the Treants and Skeletons maintenance cost. Does anyone know if (and why) we are paying maintenance on other summons? Specifically problematic for those with the summoning trait.

BTW, I was playing as Sheaim (.21b). I got a Mobius Witch with Death (I didn't have a Death node if that makes a difference). I upgraded her to Death II and summoned a Skele. After mopping up a barbarian city following some fireballs, then successfully defending against a hill giant (again, following some fireballs), I was surprised that he was still around. I checked and he did not have the summoned trait. I'm not sure if he lost it somehow or if he never had it, as I didn't check when he was summoned.

Skeletons are permanent, and not even a proper summoning spell: Adepts with Death I can create them.

Thanks your answer. :)

I'm not sure what changed, but I was unable to win a religious victory in our game today. The option was enabled and I eventually maxed out Runes @ 90%, but no victory. Any ideas?
